I was informed that I might not want to change the head unit because my climate control was integrated into it ( no reason explained but) so I ordered the LC7i with accu bass to sum the channels. I plan on installing it this week with the door and dash speakers ( all will be Polk db ). Will post another update when it's done.

Ok so time for an update. It took way longer to get this finished than I had planned but it's done. Added the LC7i, 4 pioneer 3 way 6x9, and 2 pioneer tweeters. Also put in my older Punch 4 channel amp. Sound is amazing. I would've never thought 2 10's would sound this good especially leaving in the factory head unit. The LC7i makes all the difference. On a sad note I found out that Fox Accoustics makes a vented box for 2 12's for my truck with 1.55cf per side. Time for the Alpine type r's

So I'm looking into the fox box ported for 12"s.
What's subs would be ideal for crazy bass. And amp.

Custom box and be prepared to lose most of your space. SPL subs generally need a good amount of airspace to really open up. If you limit yourself to foxbox you will always be wishing for more or wish there wasn't so much port noise.

SPL is used to refereed to sound pressure level, I.E. SPL subs are subs designed to be loud. SQ subs are meant to sound good.

I think it is a brand too... but a cheap one at that.

The Dual Tall boxes have 2cuft total of airspace and share airspace with a brace in the middle. We used to do the subs in separate airspace but the odd and irregular bottom of the box made it difficult to make the subs airspace exactly the same. We found that sharing the airspace made them perform much better. On the Tall Boxes we include nickle plated spring loaded speaker terminals on the back of the box behind each woofer.

Mounting depth on these boxes is around 9″ for 10s and 8.25″ for 12s. All measurements are based off of a 6″ diameter magnet. The depth doesn’t change for a 10, but with 12s, they hit the sloped back wall of the box if the magnet is too big. For example, a sub 12″ sub with a 7″ magnet may only be able to be around 7.5″ deep, where a 5″ magnet sub could be 8.75″.

You have a 8.4 radio without the factory amp is that so? You only used the lc7i and everything is working good?

For cab shaking you'll want ported and this really will take a custom box to do that. Great spl subs can be found with sundown audio, skar audio, soundqubed audio, DD, Fi audio and tons more. If you want something more mainstream I like the Alpines type x if you can find one or the newest type Rs. Kicker makes great subs but the L7 in my experience takes a ton of airspace.

Two 12's in a sealed box (as long as the airspace is appropriate) and the power is there will get plenty loud for most people. I have two "SQ" 12" subs in my truck, and it gets plenty loud off 600 watts/sub. I think you'll find more enjoyment if your sub bass actually sounds good versus just getting really loud...but that's simply my opinion.
My friend has two 12" Alpine Type R's in a fox box off a 1000 watts (2013 Ram 2500 CC)and it gets really loud...I have Arc Black 12's in my truck and my friend always mentions how much better my subs sound while still being loud and FUN....but they sound so so much better. IDK...food for thought

Spot on... at the end of the day these are trucks and the subs are only going to be 3-4 feet from your ears. Pretty much anything will get plenty loud.
