So I'm looking into the fox box ported for 12"s.
What's subs would be ideal for crazy bass.
What's your definition of crazy bass?
Deep bass. Something that I get my truck shaking lol
Ok so time for an update. It took way longer to get this finished than I had planned but it's done. Added the LC7i, 4 pioneer 3 way 6x9, and 2 pioneer tweeters. Also put in my older Punch 4 channel amp. Sound is amazing. I would've never thought 2 10's would sound this good especially leaving in the factory head unit. The LC7i makes all the difference. On a sad note I found out that Fox Accoustics makes a vented box for 2 12's for my truck with 1.55cf per side. Time for the Alpine type r's
The Dual Tall boxes have 2cuft total of airspace and share airspace with a brace in the middle. We used to do the subs in separate airspace but the odd and irregular bottom of the box made it difficult to make the subs airspace exactly the same. We found that sharing the airspace made them perform much better. On the Tall Boxes we include nickle plated spring loaded speaker terminals on the back of the box behind each woofer.
Mounting depth on these boxes is around 9″ for 10s and 8.25″ for 12s. All measurements are based off of a 6″ diameter magnet. The depth doesn’t change for a 10, but with 12s, they hit the sloped back wall of the box if the magnet is too big. For example, a sub 12″ sub with a 7″ magnet may only be able to be around 7.5″ deep, where a 5″ magnet sub could be 8.75″.
