Hey I'm Chad. I traded in my BMW 335i for my Ram 1500 Sport 4x4 and am really enjoying the truck. I've had 3 F-150s, a Silverado, two Tahoes and my wife currently has a 2012 LTZ Suburban. The Ram is by far better than the ford and chevy when it comes to how it feels and drives, I absolutely love it.

There are a few things about my Ram specifically that I'm not impressed with though. MSRP was $45,500 and the damn thing doesn't even have remote start?? I really use this feature... It also doesn't have nav but it does still have the screen with uConnect. Very strange, my mom's cheap a** 2012 Rubicon even has nav haha. :flipthebird:

Right now I'm looking to replace :)superhack:) the tow mirrors as well. They are so gawdy and belong on the 2500, not my beautiful truck lol

Also just out of curiosity, what would/do you guys feel one thing you must do to the truck performance wise? (Speaking 5.7 Hemi) I've read some people say it feels slow compared to the power its suppose to have and I know that when my wife had a ('12) Grand Cherokee it felt slow as f**k. I don't know how I feel about my truck yet because I'm trying to keep my foot out of till at least 500 miles.

Yes, you have first dibs on them :roflsquared:

And I'm definitely interested. I have heard of something like this when my wife had a 2012 GC. She read that one of the buttons that didn't have any label on it would pop the glass part of the back hatch open if you put something in the key.

Welcome, and congrats on the new truck. You wont have any problem finding someone to trade you for your tow mirrors.

As far as performance goes, what are you looking to get from your truck? Do you tow with it, planning to take it to the dragstrip, or just looking to make it more fun to drive on the street?

As I know I should break it in first and see for myself I am just curious for opinions and thoughts. I am looking to tow, nothing over 7,000lbs and just more fun to drive on the streets. I live in a truck driving kind of town and its pretty rural.

20 years old and you have had all those cars already! Plus you are married.
Where the hell did I go wrong in life, LOL.

Hey Bud, welcome to the forum. Can't wait to see pics of your new truck.
I hope you didn't actually pay $45,000! I am curious to see just how much off you got, as I am buying soon too. Unless you'd rather not talk about it. I would like to get as much off the MSRP as I can.

Again, welcome!

you cant go wrong with a new exhaust, such as magnaflow 16869 cat back, and a magnaflow 10778 Y pipe, and a new CAI, i like vararam, but theres many out there.

A 2600 stall tq converter is going to show the most noticable gains for what you want. It will be much more efficient while towing and give you a big bump in performance off the line. Once tuning is available for the 2012's, that would be my next recommendation. An 85mm ported throttle body will make the truck much more responsive which will add some fun factory on the street.

Lol well actually where did I go wrong!?! I have debt which I regret many of the vehicles I got outta stupidity. Pics or it didn't happen, I'll post soon :)

I don't mind discussing what I paid, msrp $45,400.
-$4000 rebate
-$3,500 dealer loyalty crap
Plus tax, title and license and any other dealer fee.
It wasn't the best deal I found. I was going to travel to Peoria, AZ at Larry H. Miller. They had exactly what I wanted for $34,900 but the lady was so pushy I couldn't bear dealing with her. She is still stalking me. I got impatient and couldn't wait any longer. My town is also fairly small, full of trucks and oilfield inflation so I feel like I got a decent deal, considering.

Welcome to RF!

These trucks are pretty strong trucks imo from factory but throw a few bolt on mods on her and she'll be screaming down the road. And you wont be able to stop yourself once you start modding either, lol.
