Glad to see some more sagebrush trucks. Love mine. Hell we could have a ram forum get together at the dealer waiting for it to show up lol

Wouldn't that be cool to have a Ram M&G at the dealership...

I love the Sagebrush too... especially love that the color isn't as common as the reds and blues. The day after I bought my Deep Water Blue, I saw an identical 1500 Big Horn about 4 miles from my house. After driving a Jade '97 for all those years, I wasn't used to seeing myself coming and going on every corner.

Geez, hopefully 12 hours from now I'll be at the dealership watching the car hauler pull in...

Daggum it - truck arrived last night - they had her tucked in the back of the lot whenever I arrived... 2 hours later, they found the keys then the dealer prep process, etc. Got some pics and will post - right now I'm exhausted from a long day at the dealership and signing over my life for a truck that cost more than my first house!!!

Initial impressions: I need to get the feel for this engine/transmission... she runs nice on the highway and picks up really nice from 60 mph in 6th gear going uphill. I like hearing the whistling and don't mind the lack of teeth chattering diesel.

I never realized how mild mannered my 2010 1500 was until I arrived home with this beast and climbed out feeling much like I did after driving my '97 1500 SB. It's the way a truck should feel - rough and unruly.

Pics soon...

Man - I love it... I love having a truck that behaves like a truck and sounds like a truck - takes me back to my first pickup truck.

Only driven her about 50 miles so far - still working on getting the feeling for shifting, etc.

1st gear must be pretty tall - been starting in 2nd most of the time. I couldn't find any tables showing the gears (e.g., 1st = 3.42:1, etc.) if someone could point one out I'd appreciate.

Thanks guys - especially for the gears. That 1st is pretty tall...

I think it's sad that manual transmission pickup trucks are limited to Dodge with CTD. I enjoy shifting... some call it "Mario Andretti syndrome" but it holds the driver at a critical place in the driving process rather than what most advancements in automotives appear to be focused on: removing the driver from doing anything - including parking along a curbside...
