My 19 RAM Classic Quod cab with upgraded Delmonico paint, 3.55 differential and chrome trim cost me $24,*** "out the door".

Yes I know its apples to oranges but it still amazes me I bought a new mid trim level full size truck for <$25,000. I just will not spend near 100K for any vehicle, ever.

Mine is a Classic Dually with everything but the sun roof, 5th wheel hitch and the engine heater option. I will post my complete timeline once I receive it since I am sure chip shortages will affect the timeline.

I just ordered a 2500 Crew Cab in Delmonico Red Night Edition with the Cummins yesterday morning and was told probably 12 weeks. When we were putting in the build options in the computer we got a message "awaiting next allocation". The sales guy didn't know what that meant or how long that would be so I'm guessing probably even longer. I wanted to wait for the '23 or '24 but trade in values are so good was hard to wait.

I was told 8 to 12 weeks by my sales guy but another sales guy said more like 14 to 16 weeks. A site online I found online that tracks all manufacturers build times says 24-26 weeks. I'm currently at 4 weeks and still only have a VIN number so it's not looking good. That said, most of us on this post have ordered HD trucks. You placed and order for a 1500 which I think will be a little faster. I do know the more tech features ordered the longer it takes.

I just ordered an F350 two weeks ago and last week was told it’s build date is 12/6/21. Salesman was shocked. Has others on order longer with no build date.
No rhyme or reason to anything right now. Fingers crossed you get yours quickly. Sounds like a nice truck.
I would have ordered another Ram, but my trans went 6 mo out of five year 100k warranty with only 57k on it. Stellantis did nothing for me after buying 8 Rams since 1997. So I figured I’d give Ford a shot. I paid the $6,200 repair bill, but they lost out on the $17,000 profit on the new truck.

I went to my local Ram dealer after reading about the new Backcountry package to see about ordering one. The sales guy hadn't heard of that package so he checked with the ordering guy to see if any were ordered by the dealer. Sure enough they had several. I put my name on one and it actually got built Nov. 18 after placing the order Oct 23. It's on the train to Atlanta right now. He said if you are willing to put your name one it will move to the top of the line sometimes. It did this time anyway.

I said that once......then the crazy trade prices came upon us and I bought my truck same as you, albeit with trade. I guess that counts?

Ok kids. I'm in Illinois and ordered a 2500 October 25th. The Vin was provided in two days but still no updates on the build. It's been 6 weeks and nothing. I was told I would have the truck in 8 -12 weeks. It's not looking good folks.

My brother ordered his 1/2 ton 2022 laramie level 2 the last week of September. It came in yesterday with a MSRP of 61,800 which reflected a $800 price increase between time he ordered it and when it was delivered. He paid $52,900 plus state sales tax out the door for it.

Just got an update from my dealer who said my Truck will be shipping on December 12th. Does anyone know how long it takes to transport a truck to PA?

I will guess that if it is a Ram 1500
it would be loaded at the assembly plant onto a freight train
the train will first go to a freight yard outside of Chicago
The freight car your Ram is in, will be switched to a Locomotive heading East to Aston Pa. Where it will be unloaded off the train.
Then a trucking outfit will be scheduled to haul your Ram to your dealership.

Just a wild guess, if it leaves on a train December 12th
Your Ram should be at the dealership by the 20th, maybe even before that

If it is a Heavy Duty Ram
It will go from Saltillo Mexico by train to Eagle Pass, Texas to Chicago, then to Aston Pa

Now that you have a VIN, you can enter your VIN into the site below, use capital Letters

Once your Ram is built, the site will do what is called Populate & you can download a list of all the parts that your Ram was built with.
It will also have the date that it was built , then you can get a better timeline for delivery
