2018 2500 with 25,600 miles and the Firestone Transforce are totally gone! Rotated at 10K and at 16K trying to save them. They were noisy, offered a rough ride and were horrible on even wet grass.

I just had a set of Michelin Defender LTX 275-70R-18 installed and i can't belive the difference! Hard to believe the improvement in ride quality and noise. This truck is quieter than my BMW 550i....

Highly recommended!

Yup...those Transforce tires suck, IMHO.

Lots of great comments about the Michelin Defender here on the forum. Although not the cheapest tire they do outperform many other brands. More and more people seem to be using them with great results.

I just replaced my pos goodyear wrangler rsa at 28k due to the tire wear. Even with rotating them at every 5k oil change it didn't help the tire wear.
I have previous experience with Michelin tires on the Dakotas that i owned in the past. Great ride, handling and traction, plus long tread life.
Yes Michelin tires are a little expensive but worth it for the money. I got my set of Defenders at Discount Tire with mounting / balancing and free tire rotations for a little over $1200.00

Just had a set of Defender LTX installed on Saturday on my truck. 37K on the original crappy Goodyears. They ride great and even had them in heavy rain already. Worth the price. Supposed to last 70K, so for me that's about years. Twice as long as OEM.

Had mine done at NTB, $1207 out the door.

After mounting the Michelins at Sam's club I was amazed on how much better my 2500 handled. I'm a Michelin guy now.
I shopped these tires at all the dealers around me and Sam's had the best price by $200 over the next place.
