I'm shopping for wheels and tires for my 2015 Ram 1500 Express. I'm going for a street look.

Right now I've selected a set of 22-inch wheels, 10 inches deep. I have a set of tires picked out, 275/45 R22. My truck is a 4x4 and the suspension is stock.

Anything I need to watch out for? Will a set like this work out of the gate or will there be some work necessary to avoid rubbing? Anybody have pictures of your Ram with a similar config?

Thanks in advance.

Not a 4 door, but I did 22" KMC Slides on my 2011. Lowered rear 2", and they drove great, 305/45/22

Hi Bob,

That's a 31" tall tire and some change depending on inflation. Unless you're planning on dropping like a 4/6 which is an extensive amount of work on a 4x4, I'd suggest going taller/wider like the goose mentioned. 275 is a little narrow for a 10" wide wheel with the amount of sidewall profile you're seeking as well.

Check out custom offsets' gallery for 22" wheel fitment ideas.

Your suggestions and another thread sent me down a whole nutha hour-long rabbit hole. Now I'm looking at 22x12 wheels, -44 offset, with 305/45 R22s. I saw photos of another truck with these exact wheel/tire dimensions and they looked great. My only concern now is rub, but with stock suspension, I think I'm good. Thoughts?

Yeah, this is day 2 for me.

I was super thrown off by this chart, which is why I was looking at 275s for a 10 inch wheel as posed in my original question. Now I realize that chart is waaayy off...

Ordered! I went with a General Grabber tire instead. 7 to 9 business days before they arrive "loose mounted" so I can install the OEM TPMS I ordered elsewhere. It's been an interesting process to make sure I get what I want, with no unforeseen complications, so after the wheels get here and I have them mounted, balanced, and installed, I'm gonna make a new post of the process from start to finish, with complications avoided and my thoughts on the experience front-to-back.

Keep us posted, make sure you find a shop with a Hunter road force balancer since you have low profile tires on wide wheels.

I'm taking it to my local Goodyear shop, just down the street from work, so I'm just gonna count on the fact that they have the balancer they need... if I call 'em and ask, they're gonna be like "Who's this pompous ass?" :D

Small businesses need to do what we consumers ask, especially handling $2k worth of new product without a scratch after completion. Even if that means standing over them.
