I have 37x12.50x20 Nitto trail grapplers on my truck. They are not even a true 37 but that's here nor there and they are the worst tire I have ever run in the snow. I realize they are not a winter tire but holy crap it's scary to drive my truck here in Alberta right now. Even in 4x4 it's not good. I have never felt nervous in any of my other trucks in the winter as I do now.

If anyone is interested in a set with only 2000 km on them let me know.

Is it just me or is it the tire...discuss....or flame. Thanks

Do you have the Terra Grapplers or Trail Grapplers? Most mud tires are bad in snow. I ran Toyo MT's on my last truck, and they didnt do well in sno either.

Seems like M/T tires would do better in the snow, but not well on ice to me.

toyo open country AT's are legit. Favorite tire I've ever owned. They were on my ford f250. I drive all up and all over NY, PA, WV, KY, OH. They didn't show any wear. I wanted the at2's on my new truck but they are ridiculous to find in 35x12.5x20

My 35 terra grapplera i thought was the worst winter tire. I will never buy nittos after those. Went to pro comp xtreme ats. Super happy with them. Running them on two trucks. The are a very agressive at.

Goodyear duratracs is the only studdable winter that comes in 35 inch. There is nothing in larger sizes. I'm running procomp all terrain in 33 inch. Soft compound no studs. They are decent for sure. Duratracs probably better.

I'm more than happy with my Toyo Open Country A/Ts here in Alberta (same thing basically as the nitto terra grapplers).

I had Open Country M/Ts (practically the same as your tires) on my 2004 and they were bad on ice too. Awesome in deep snow though. Only way to get that thing stuck was to high center it.
