MagnaFlow takes my money not just because of the classy sound but the great construction.

You had me excited until I found out that the only 3.5" in and out muffler they make cost more the magnaflow muffler.

Ahh sorry about that? Really tho? Same muffler I got is $120 and the Jones was $45. Can't see how they would be more money. What's the part #?

Just put a Jones full boar performance 409SS 3" in and dual 2.25" out, 18" case and 24" total length on my 2014 5.7 hemi. They are slightly better than MagnaFlow and this one fit the stock exhaust. At idle it's low and at cruise it's louder than stock but has no resonance. I love there mufflers and have 2 of the 3" in and out on my duals on my show race car with a 521 and love them also.

Best part is they are cheap, $45 for a muffler that's 409SS and flows better and sounds better than magnaflow. It's a straight through design with perforated tube filled with sound deadening material. I left everything stock with the resonators and it's the perfect tone. Not obnoxious and not loud at idle but get on it and she purrs!

I have been looking at this muffler...thanks for the review! I would LOVE it if you could get a sound clip of it!

Here is the only sound clip that I could find with a newer 5.7L Hemi! & Jones Muffler.

Sounds like he left the Kats and Resonators on-->Just by what my ears tell me.

It says Full Boar but not what Size or Style. Anyway Here it is--->

2012 Dodge Ram HEMI Jones Full Boar Muffler Exhaust - YouTube

Wish it was a bit more in depth video. Can't really tell much.

It could either be a Flow Deflector-->Which I figure is like a Flow Master {No Fiberglass Insulation}.
or Max Flow or Truck Series! With all these ?. The Video is kinda Worthless! Sorry!

Sounds pretty sweet...what is the difference between the Full Boar and the Max Flow?

Thats exactly what mine sounds like. But I know the full boar line and its all stainless perforated tube with sound deadening material (look alike stainless wool and fiberglass and perhaps more). ITs a straight through design and has a very smooth Y transition at the back to the dual outlets.

Ill see what I can do for a sound clip but not sure of the quality.

Sorry I take that back. mine are MAX flow and thats what I have used, never used the full Boar style. Mine might be slightly quieter than the link you posted as I have full stock exhaust with just a muffler swap.

Just made these for you. sorry for the quality. Truck is dead cold on a 50*F day so cold start RPMS in the 1300range and you can hear it drop. The lower it drops the deeper it gets, especially in gear. Exhaust sounds way deeper in person so I guess the noise you hear in the video is the camera too close lol. You can even see the water shoot out of the exhaust in the videos.

Also sorry about the talking, my neighbor decided to ask me a few questions about fixing his sons car when I started the video. 2nd video has no talking.

They def sound better in person more like the video that was posted.

At 57s I put it in drive when it was cold to get a better idea of idle sound but it was still 300rpms higher then when its in drive and hot.

How's the drone? This has me tempted. Sounds good in your video. I'm just looking to beef up my exhaust, but still not be horrible to drive in with my family...even long distances.

I really appreciate those, had a hard time finding clips of this muffler. I really like it, very similar to the Magnaflow honestly, I think they share the exact same design, but the Jones' are less than half the cost!

I would say its less than stock, not really noticeable as the whole exhaust has a deeper growl. My stock muffler and exhaust would be drony/resonance in the 1200-2K range which it got louder and some vibrations and would smooth out above that. This exhaust now seems smoother and less than stock but a deeper tone and gets alittle quieter smoother above 2K just like stock.

Now getting your tips aligned and making your 3" extension is up to you. Im running a 8" extension of 3" OD 16 gauge exhaust I had laying out. its aluminized steel but also I run SS butt and lap joint clamps on this to help with leaks etc. THe muffler clamps are the stock style torsion compression bands and I don't like them one bit. I might go with the standard SS clamps like I have on the front which Ive used and like bc of the sealing and grabbing the pipe fully.

I think you're talking way above my head. If I were to buy the muffler, an exhaust shop would be able to figure out how to mount it right? Is there anythign special to worry about? Sorry I'm not very mechanically inclined. Oil and brakes are about the extent of my knowledge. :p

Also what's the difference between the 14" vs 18"?

They way I did it u can do it on the ground. Took me 1.5hrs and that's removing the stock muffler and cutting the pipe to connect the stock exhaust. U don't even need to jack the car up.

Difference in 14 and 18" is that the 18 will be quieter since there's 4" more of muffler to absorbabsorb sound. A 22" inch case is more quiet than an 18" case. This is only true if the muffler is the same design and makeup aND only muffler length changes.

The Borla XR-1 is still my #1 Choice! But this muffler sounds great for almost 1/2 the cost!

Yours was the 14" right?. That'd be good even for a daily commuter? Any shop should be able to line up that tips right?
