First post ever so let me start off by telling you about myself.
I'm 16 years old, and driving my first vehicle, a 2006 Quad Cab 1500 SLT 4x4.

So here's my situation, I saved up a little over 800$ to get the matte black Rockstar wheels from KMC, and my nearby shop ordered 18" that won't fit on my tires. (need 17's) I had to wait a month for the the wrong ones to get in, and now I'll have to wait another month for the right ones to come in. So I said screw it, and now I have the money and don't know what I want to do with the truck.

Options-
Train horn
new exhaust (I want it to be loud)
LED Bar
LIft ( I really want one, but need help convincing parents)
New tires ( Fairly new tires were on it when I bought it, but couldn't go offroad to save its life)
or
the New rims

Any ideas or opinions or advice would be much appreciated! Oh and I already have 15% tinted windows, a spray on bedliner and black running boards, I'm trying to go for the red w/ black trim look

Sorry for long read, thanks in advance!

I agree with Bailey...I've done it before so I know from experience that if you comprise on something you want just because of being impatient (and I'm about as impatient as they come) you'll eventually regret it. BUT....I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that if you really, really want do to something soon to your truck and you're budget is $800...I would do a 14" magnaflow muffler (it'll be loud enough for ya) and a Vararam CAI (if they make them for the 06' Rams). I have the 18" magnaflow on my truck and I love it, and the Vararam made acceleration way better and improved my gas mileage.

If I had to pick from the list you posted above, I would go with new exhaust. Just because I'm in love with the way my truck has sounded since I got my new muffler installed.

Hope this helps man. Congrats on the truck and welcome to the forum.

Welcome post up pics of the truck. I have a flowmaster 40 series and it's LOUD haha. That will only set you back about 200 including installation. You can get that and a LED bar for about under budget.

I would definitely go with an exhaust. Check out the exhaust sticky on here and I'm sure you'll find somethingyou like. I have the full boar single chamber and its loud and I love the sound of it. As far as wheels, tires, and lift, I would save up so that you can afford all at the same time. That way you're not buying tires now and buying new ones once you get your lift. Just my $0.02 but do what ever makes you happy because everyone is different and its your truck so do your thing.

Pictures are always good. Maybe exhaust and paint your rims. That way you have something a little different all around.

If you are into the blacked out look, I have had several friends use plasti-dip. There are tons of youtube videos on how to apply and remove the product. It allows you to black out your wheels and other parts and when you decide to sell the truck later you can peel it off and it is back to stock with no damage. Then you can spend whatever you have left on another project like the exhaust. JMO.

The mod bug is working its way into you...IMO wheels and tires make a truck, lifted, lowered, whatever...the shoes make it.

You say you're impatient, okay, so plasti-dip your current rims black while waiting for the new ones to arrive; inostant, but reversable change for four or less hours work and under $30.
