Looking for opinions, a week after I bought my truck I had a magnaflow muffler out on, I was hoping it would get louder as it aged a little, but 10k miles later it sounds the same. Now I'm considering a muffler delete. Anyone who has done this pros/cons please? And will me neighbors hate me?

Ditching resonators would be a smart next step, see if that is more to your liking

Your neighbor will hate you. hahaha god bless America I say. Every truck I have owned, except for my current Ram 1500, have either been straight piped or atleast damn near close. I had a bronco 302, is was my F*** around 4x4, straight piped. sounded awesome. I lived in an apartment at the time. Engine actually blew in the parking lot when I came home from an off road meet. Neighbors hated me!!! Hated me!! It was great but really immature on my end.

Pros: sound awesome. Nothing like stomping on the gas and having everyone around you think the world is coming to an end.

Cons: Have to live with the fire breathing Americana 24/7. Sometimes, you can do without the noise. Neighbors may not approve. Police may pull you over. I got pulled over in my Bronco. Police liked the truck. They are just doing their job.

I think a good setup is the Mufflex systems. Delete on the weekends and bolt on something less aggressive in between. All in your garage.

I am considering a mufflex 24m with E-cut outs.

Mines damn near a straight pipe and I like it a lot. I just coast in and press lightly on the pedal when I get home at 4 in the morning. (Work nights) The wife and neighbors have both not complained.

After listening to your exhaust I may have just changed my mind. Did you keep your resonators?

I got the muffler shop special. I like the sound of magnaflows, the one I got has the MF tone but stockish sound level. basically only sounds good if your standing behind the truck. Jerry your set up sounds great and really doesn't seem that loud. I'm leaning towards the mufflex keeping the resonators. Is there any loss in fuel mileage opening up the exhaust like that? I imaging there is a lot less back pressure.

I've been watching a lot of exhaust videos lately like a crazy guy because I'm ready to get a little louder, but since I commute on the interstate 70 miles I needed to be careful with the drone. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get the 14" magnaflow mufflix setup.

I was looking into the Magnaflow 14'' either the Boesch Built or Mufflex but then found this Carven exhaust and I'm really intrigued by it, they are releasing a bolt on muffler in the next week or 2 and have some nice clips on their FB wall you might want to check out!

I have the muffler delete and kept the resonators on my 14. First start-up she barks, but if you stay off the loud pedal while leaveing the neighborhood you will have no problems. Surprisingly civil at hwy speeds, just turn off the MDS (4-cylinders sound like crap). WOT it screams!:waytogo:

Yes. Kept them and it keeps it tame enough for my liking while still being plenty loud outside the truck or with windows down. I'll eventually get some more videos up.

Mine has no drone at highway speeds and you can't really even tell it's there with windows up. I have 3.92s and travel around 65 on the highway. It puts me above the ~1500-1700 rpm alleged drone zone. I can take a video tomorrow if I remember.

Dynomax mufflers sound good I just had some installed today. And they're really nice.
