I actually started running my harness yesterday. I’ve got a four door, so I went with the door antennas in the rear doors like factory, but it would’ve been easier if I did it like you have planned, as I don’t think it makes a difference which doors they’re in. The only thing with your harness is, if you’re going straight from the cab through the rubber door boot, you’re gonna have to remove the connectors. It is TIGHT getting just one unshielded twisted pair through that thing!3x2CL0I.jpg

The proximity antennas that sense the fob as you are walking up to the door to unlock/lock it.

Looking good .
Yeah I’m going run my cables over the white door connector but beneath the rubber grommet .
Did that on my last truck and was okay .
Your way is defiantly more safe as far as protecting the wires etc .
I just wanted to have my hanress all prebuilt .
So i can just install and plug and play .

Hey @skuppy069, do you have a link to the connectors you’re using for the handles? I’m doing the same as you and cutting the one off the handles and getting a mating set, but wanted to make sure they’ll fit through the square hole in the door. Those look like they’ll fit.

I just went my local electronic store and grabbed a small package
It has 3 male connector and pins
And then the same for the female side .
I kinda destroyed the packaging
I will go online and see if I can find the package number
Super cheap as well

I know it is going to suck getting those connectors thru that boot .
My have to de-pin and then get cable thru and then assemble connector again .

Yeah, probably, but shouldn’t be a big deal. I thought about what you said about going over the white door connector and boot, but I don’t think it’s possible. There’s holes in the white connector to pass the harness through, but there’s no way of avoiding going through the boot. You’ll definitely see what I’m saying when you get your hands on it.

Yeah I know exactly what you mean .My last 1500 I installed the auto tech kit in .
They use a fat cable and I got it thru the door .
On you tube they have a video showing the install .
I’m running my front cables the same way .
I would like to pin in new wires on both inline sides but too much work for me etc .
I will run the harness soon and get it done .
