There used to be some nice trails out here that took some skill to navigate, but were wide enough for a full sized truck without worrying about slapping a tree with the rear quarter when going around a corner. But, the person who owned the land passed away a few years ago and left the land to the state, which has turned it into state park land and blocked the trails for anything with an engine.

There are 2 places I know of in MN that a person can legally off-road their rigs - Appleton ORV park and Gilbert ORV park.

I've been to both - Appleton is about 2 hours closer to home, but still a long drive to get to and not big enough for a full size truck, considering last time I was there I was a passenger in a ZR2 Blazer that couldn't make it through the trails because even that little 2dr Blazer was too big.

Gilbert? Fun place, but it is built for true off-road rigs, unless you want to play in the mud pit - but that red clay mud will strip your paint.

If I getta chance, I'll take the RAM out here-

My JKUR has been in some wild places in the Sierras and There's no way I'll take the RAM there--but it was fun !

I go off road every now and then. I like to go through mud puddles!

I used to, but I can't stand cleaning it anymore. Hour of fun for days of cleaning.

Days of cleaning? Depending on the mud and muck you take it through, try YEARS. I took my '99 QC Ram up to the Gilbert ORV park back in 2007 and took it through the red clay mud (the park is in the Iron Range portion of MN) and buried that truck to the hood. When I finally parted it out in 2012, the guy who stripped the engine out of it to swap into my '01 Sport charged extra on the labor because he had to pressure wash areas of the truck that aren't possible to pressure wash just to get at 1/3 of the bolts on the underside. For 5 years, every time I hit a bump or took a corner too fast, clumps of that stuff would fall out. :roflsquared:

After years of off-roading in my truck. I have never really washed the under carriage. So the day before I was going to have my lift installed, I went to a car wash and was under there for like 40 minutes spraying up years of dirt
