RP filter look up stopped at 2022, so writing is on the wall this resource just isn't going to be there moving forward.

20-820 can be bought on Amazon, would not surprise me if this was it. I cant get these for other popular filters either, out of stock for rav 4 and others. In a weird twist, my 2025 is available with Walmart endurance and is a spin on.

These filters last a long time if you have in in a closet or somewhere protected from moisture.

These guys not only have them in stock but are selling them for $13.99 USD,
with free shipping over $25 plus $5 off when you spend $25 or more.

Unfortunately no shipping to countries outside the US. I've used them before, they are only 1-2 days slower than Amazon at their best. I think I still have 5-6 RP 20-820 in the garage. Buy 'em cheap, stack 'em deep.

Does anyone want these badly enough to do the gymnastics required? They ship to me, then I ship to you. No clue what shipping cost/time is from US to CA though.
But "I'll fly if you buy" ;)

Mu guess it is just RP leaving the filter market as amsoil and endurance are still offered?

Maybe there aren't enough of us left to give two $hits about product reliability anymore. The coder bro generations just push buttons and don't get why stuff breaks. I've lived it towards the end of my career.

That's for sure, it is magnified now more then ever before. Jobs going away this generation, repair man top of the list. I cant even imagine paying the bills being an appliance repair man these days. Super complicated fixes and cheap replacements, like just a hard way to make a hard living.

Even out of stock at summit eventhough they raised the price to 35 bucks.
I ordered my 20-500 straight from RP like 3 weeks ago

Just be careful where you get the RP filters from, remember the filter I posted that had rust inside and the media was disintegrating? I was buying in bulk when they were scarce before and they were cheap. Still can't remember where I got them from...

Interesting none of his choices appear to be spun glass. Made in Germany made in Taiwan, no difference but $$. Either just find the cheapest filter on the shelf or go spun glass?
By his findings it sure looks that way doesn't it.

His 20 dollar wix was even shaky? Looks at best a blend, as in yellow. Everyone using synthetic media nobody is using yellow. So 20 bucks for a wix paper filter, no thanks/.

I called Summit Racing recently and inquired about an Royal Purple oil filter for cross reference on my new non-RAM truck and I was informed that the cross referenced Royal Purple oil filter was no longer available for my application. He made note to me while looking, that not many applications are available anymore, that it's possible "whomever" manufactures the Royal Purple oil filters may be reducing inventory and stop producing the Royal Purple oil filter(s) ...idk.

But, it may be the reason these oil filters, especially the most popular, are becoming "extinct" again?

Endurance is on the way out as well apparently, it is suspect at best. So the last strong hold is amsoil ea and they cant seam to figure out 8 holes is better then 6. Near 1,000 reviews just on our filter and only 1% in 1 or 2 stars, wildly popular. So what gives? IMO businesses are just giving up, it is so prevalent business being in restriction and never coming back, all from COVID.

I was a bread man before a truck driver and I watched as all the super popular bread companies went under. They sold premium breads, it was the hay day of sour dough. What happened, grocery stores got in the bread business and ruined it. Premium bread co's got a tiny shelf and house brands that are total garbage took over. We see this with oil filters, it seams like stp is making a huge move taking over shelves of auto parts stores. The premium filters tend to be under ten bucks as well, nothing like RP. But that's the point, same thing with bread, you cant buy premium sourdough even if you wanted it. They flooded the market and squeezed this product out of the store shelf in the bay area. Parisian and Lobardies bread has been gone over twenty years and it was so popular people would buy it i=n a second. But, they got too big because it was great product, so they simply could not survive their shrinking market. My guess is oil filter companies same thing, if your product line doesn't grow, it dies. How can you pay increasing salaries and expenses if your shrinking? Especially when the market is saturated? You should see stp's on AutoZone, you know where the house money brands are.

Yellow and blue are stp, and you see a few m1 and kn and then nothing!

AutoZone shelf.
