RP 10-48 are impossible to buy at the moment. Even Summit wouldn't ship any to me. I don't think the 20-820 will fit on my RHD 2021/22 classic 5.7, it was hard enough getting the original out and a replacement back in. Once the one 10-48 I have gets used not sure where I'll find another. What is the second choice?
Fram Ultra.

I'm pretty sure the 20-820 will work.

Interesting. I couldn't feel any clearance between mine, and they even had a chafing sleeve over the hose.

I'm sticking with 20-500 also. Easy in and out!
This is a 20-500, but even with the 20-820, I had plenty of room. The fun part is getting it in there.

It's damn tight. This is a Ryco synthetic that I put there recently. See how tight it is, you can't even get your fingers between the filter and those bolts. Almost impossible to get an oil filter wrench to slip over it, any bigger in diameter no chance for the wrench to slip over the filter. Those bolts are so close to the filter that I cannot get a proper filter socket to go over the filter end.

I can buy 10 x Fram XG10060 from Summit delivered to Australia for about $US150 inc local taxes. They won't ship the RP 10-48 to me, must be an agreement with the Australian distributor - whom I tried to buy them from, even paid for them but they emailed me and said they cannot get them.

Thanks for the pic, damn. So I might be inclined to do a bypass set up instead of the smaller filters. I think there is pressure issues with the smaller filters as shown in maybe the last ten/twenty pages of this thread. I say bypass but really just a filter relocation, they even have one filter set ups, but most ram forum guys seam to like using two filters. From the systems I have seen I do believe there was no increased psi. Search the board for filter relocation or filter bypass set ups.

Wow that isn't even similar to my layout. Wtf is Ram doing?

He's down under, and i'm guessing part of the conversion for the steering must include a differant rack to move the steering wheel/pedals etc.,to the other side of the truck. In his case a relocated filter set-up might be a wise option to get it out to where it's more accessable

They flip the steering rack on the chassis. Those images are taken from underneath with me lying on my back. It is an easy changeout on a hoist, using a flexi-funnel. Just hard work getting the filter wrench on the filter.

I'll look at the relocation kit, hopefully I can get it to mount so that the hoses point in a direction of my choice of it won't work.

You can upgrade the cheaper TransDapt kit with -10 (5/8") hoses that use a nipple and and use swivel hose ends that screw onto the nipple, letting you pick which hose end works for you. Being a swivel fitting screwed onto a nipple you can point the hoses in any direction you want.I used Performance World fittings and their twist lock hose on mine, but there's lots other vendors.

Cool. that will work. The other trans-adapt kit with 90deg ports might work better though, the only hassle would be if the ports on either side both end up facing the wrong way as it'd be dependent upon when the seal was made:

I guess I could just buy the bits off them rather than the kit and source the nipples, bends, hoses etc to suit locally.

I started with the single filter kit, then upgraded to the dual filter kit.You can feed the dual kit from either end. I think you'd be better off buying the whole kit instead of buying it individually, when i upgraded i bought the dual mount by itself, and it wasn't really all that much cheaper then buying it as a kit,but that was well before covid,so things might have changed in the last few years. If you go for the dual kit,it's worth spending a few minutes with a die grinder and cleaning up the casting flash, and rounding off the sharp corners, basically giving it a port and polish job.I only used Performance World fittings,as my local Speed Shop is a dealer for them, and has a wall of their fittings,so it was easy to look at the fittings and eyeball up what fittings would work.If you go for a remote kit, remember "In" goes to "Out" and "Out" goes to "In",if you hook them up "In" to "In" and "Out " to "Out" you won't have any oil pressure

The only reason I stated buying the bits and getting the rest here was if I'm fitting right angle connectors and needing more hose all that other stuff is wasted, and it costs both money on freight and import charges to get it into Australia. All I need is the dual filter mount and one of the two straight or 90deg fittings at the engine filter boss (the 90deg fitting can connect hoses at either end as well).

Edit - I can see what you mean, (prices off the Hedman website):

Dual oil filter relocation base (part number 1030) $56
Spin on oil filter flange with straight fittings (p/n 1027) $21.18
Spin on oil filter flange with 90deg fittings (p/n 1427) $28.41

That is $106 (plus freight to Australia),

The kit with straight fittings is $120.89 (1227) or 90deg fittings kit $122.59 (1727).

I'd be better off buying the 90deg fitting kit and adding the straight flange (1027) to the cart, that way I'd get both flanges to try for not a lot of extra cost and the 4 x nipples and 2 x hoses to use with the 90deg kit if it tightened up and the outlets pointed the right way. If they didn't I could swap out and use the straight flange adapter with some 90deg swivel ends and nipples, and then maybe be lucky that the hoses would be long enough, otherwise buy some more.

Cracked open the new fram ultra on the wifes acura rdx, went 7k miles which i didnt wanna do but weather and no time made that happen. Still seems pliable, oil was pretty dirty, i switched to castrol in hers now over the qsfs, thinking its a better oil for a turbo car.

Thanks for sharing. Is that a GDI engine?

I might try another filter and see if it vacuums up like that one did. Might be stiff bypass, do you know the bypass psi on that filter? Could be winter as well, oil is very thick in cold winters, possible that is what caused that.

Yes it is, 2020 with 17k.

I do not know the bypass psi, not sure where i find that.
I just realized i put the tg on her truck this time around, make sure i don't go 7k with that one even tho it says 15k.

3k on my xg2 with 5w30 qsfs, so 2k miles left and ill have another one to open up.

Ok, so single injector GDI engines are notoriously dirty for dumping unburned combustion byproducts into the oil during rich burn mode.

Most knowledgeable engine folk I know are saying 5k max OCI for this reason.
That or UOA every 1,000 miles.
My wife just bought one of these. I'm doing 5k OCI.
