Hello! So truck has 112k on it and I just noticed and oil leak to compliment the leaking manifold.... passenger side rear 2 studs are sheared off. So first question- any of you pull the manifold, and re use the stock manifold with replacing studs and gasket? Or is a new manifold required for sure? And if someone could tell me the source of this oil leak that’d be a life saver. I’m mechanically inclined but no idea where to start on this leak! Thanks in advance!

Looks like your bolts are broken flush with the head.

Be careful with those, easy to screw it up using extractors. Not imposssible, just tricky. Alot use the welder method.

If you're not going to headers, you can reuse the stock manifolds - have a machine shop plane your manifolds flat, or you can use a belt sander. You should not have an issue with bolt breakage after having them trued up.

I used a belt sander, but could not quite get all the warp/twist out of mine. So far, so good. Time will tell.

Replace your pcv valve as well. A good thing to do at 100k miles.

Here is what you need to do take old manifold off sand it down with a belt sander flat it will never warp again got mine at harbor freight And to get the bolts out of the head find someone with a welder to tack a nub on the end of the bolt in head and it will spin out the heat helps it i do it this way all the time never fails.

Do you use a straight edge to make sure you have a true surface?
