I purchased a 2015 Ram 1500 3.6L V6, a couple weeks ago with 57,000 mi one owner from local CarMax. My oil pressure is at around 27 Psi , when running. Is that a problem? Didn't notice it until yesterday, don't know where it was when I bought it

Imo that's pretty low oil pressure for both of you .
My hot idle oil pressure is 41-42 and is 55psi at 65mph ...these #s are all with oil temp @ 200-212 ° f .

Y'all are probably also running a 20wt oil which is thin as water , if you don't believe me drain it out and see for yourself [emoji1360]

Lots of guys here on the forum use 5W-30 and some guys are using a 40weight oil as well .

My truck is a 14 with the 5.7L Hemi

I don't doubt that I'm currently running 5w-20. I just bought mine last April, and I assume the dealer used the recommended weight. How many are running the thicker oil in Pentastars? I know it is heavily recommended to deal with Hemi tic, but I know of no such issue with the 3.6. That having been said, I'm planning on easing into a heavier weight. I'll be changing the oil this week. My plan is to use 1 or 2 quarts of 5w-30 qsud and the rest 5w-20. I'll do a uoa at 5000 miles and make a long term decision then.
