The Oil pressure on a cold start up average 90/95 PSI then drops to 35/45 so good there !
Over the past couple days Cold the Oil Pressure starts at 40 PSI (I know a OK pressure) then as it is warming up moves to about 90 PSI the drops as it heats up . again normal. I know it is a 2 stage pu,p so could the high pressure side be sticking ? Or ???
Thanks and I assume it will be covered by warranty if the oil pump is going, I have 52k plus extra warranty !

I dont know much about the V6 but 90-95 PSI. !!!

Good lord thats high by any means for a street car with 20w oil in it. My 6.4 with 40w wont hardly see mid 70’s when the rpms are around 3,500 RPM’s.

Someone with the V6 asked the same thing a few months ago on this forum and the other V6 owners are experiencing that same thing you are. 90-95 PSI; seems crazy high to me but I'm rocking the 6.4.

Yea 90 PSI is normal from what I hear about the Pentstar! My question is before when cold would start out at 90 PSI and drop to 35/45 when warm.. Now Cold starts at 35/40 psi for a minute or so then goes to the 90 PSI and drop when warm, My oil pump is a 2 stage if I am saying that right. wondering if maybe the 2nd stage is sticking a little

Thanks for you replies

"I think" variable pressure pump is what others have said FCA is specking for many of their motors today. The 2018 6.4 clearly has a variable pressure pump/system. But,,,I have to agree 90lbs makes you wonder why???
