When I load my truck camper I have to have my air bags fully deflated and max out the camper jacks to have enough clearance to back under the camper. Once I air up the bags the camper jacks don't touch the ground. That means when I go camping I can't unload the camper without deflating the bags. My solution is to install an on board air system so I can air up and down as needed and be able to remove the camper at will.
Now the question is which system do I go with? I narrowed it down to either a Viair Heavy Duty OBA (https://www.viaircorp.com/oba/oba-heavy) or the Air Lift Wireless Air (https://www.airliftcompany.com/products/compressor-systems/wirelessair/).
Pros of the Viair Heavy Duty is it has a 2.5 gallon tank you can use to run pneumatic tools or air up tires (albeit very slowly). Also has a higher quality compressor than the Air Lift.
Pros of the Air Lift Wireless Air is you use a wireless remote control to air up and down with the touch of a button from inside the truck. They system constantly monitors the pressures and keeps it at your predetermined setting. Completely hands free.
Cons of the Viair is you would have to manually air up and down the air bags by hand and figure out a place to mount the air tank and connections.
Cons of the Air Lift is you don't have an air tank so you can't run any tools or air up any tires.
They both cost almost the exact same amount (around $350 on Amazon). What would you do?
