I suppose this could be considered any generation topic but since I'm getting a 5th Gen figured I'd start my own thread. I currently have 2015 Laramie that's fairly well equipped but am in the process of getting this Big Horn.

Aside from questioning losing the leather and other minor Laramie features, this one does not have the Limited Slip Diff option. I'm sure 2wd performance will suffer in the snow but I usually turn Auto 4wd on my current truck. Will I notice a difference with this Big Horn with Auto 4wd turned on?

I do zero off roading so don't need a locker or limited slip even unless there's snow on the ground.

you will be fine, I had 2 rams with open differentials and both of them were great in the snow when in 4 wheel drive

Thanks! That makes me feel better. Now I just need to decide whether to give in to impulse or try to order a Laramie. I know I'll be happy either way.

Welp, turns up I ended up with a loaded Laramie and it has a locking diff. Never used a locker before so I guess I'll have to research it.

The Big Horn with Black Out package I was supposed to get ended up being held by the other dealership for "paint repair". We were not told why though. They had a loaded Laramie Black Out that they had so I took that for a couple extra grand.

We're thinking about getting one for the wife in a year or two as I think it's the perfect size SUV but I test drove one a while back and thought it rode pretty rough. What didn't you like about yours?

Ah Hah! You got duped by the old "The truck you want is in the 'paint repair shop' but we have this one we think you'll like just as much for only a few dollars more...." :) Ask me how I know that.....
