Thanks bud. I couldn't imagine having to start over on the work you have put into yours.

I have yet to come across an eco diesel locally. Have driven the 6cyl with the new 8 speed tranny and the hemi. Would like to take that one for a spin.

Co-worker just for a new cherokee with the 3.6L and 8speed. It's damn nice and rides so smooth..

Unless you want the power and/or sound of the hemi. The 3.6 is not bad choice.

Yep, they really are great rides, even with the 3.6. I think they are one of the better looking/driving suvs on the market at any price point.

I drove a Durango with the hemi and the 3.6 Cherokee with new tranny and honestly was hardly a noticeable difference in get up and go. Top end, maybe but I didn't get there during the test drive. The hemi was not impressive enough to justify the difference in fuel consumption.

Not to mention the price. If you are buying right off a lot (vs ordering), the price increase to get the hemi is not just $1,500 for the engine, you end making a big jump in model and equipment that is thousands more... At least that is the way it is with my local dealers inventory.

I've had a little interest in my sub enclosure. It's basically worthless if ur not running these same subs so I may throw it all up for sale. Not sure how shipping would work out, if at all but figured I'd give my RAM brothas first dibs. I'd be willing to travel some distance. Let me know if anyone's interested

May as well throw the leviathans out there too.

Update..... I decided to keep my subs and amps. Too nice to let go and have to try to buy equal or better gear again. If someone wants the box and subs, I may let them go.

And finally came to terms with the boss on a vehicle. She pushed and pushed for some soccer mom grocery getter type but I just can't cope with that. So I found a nice grand Cherokee....

Then offered up my artist rendering of what it will look like if I buy it lol... Black on black on black. What yall think?

She accepted!!! So jeep will be here in a week and drop springs on Wednesday.

Now as for the wheels, I was thinking of plasti dip and the glossifier for now and buy some later. Anyone ever use the stuff? Does it look cheap and $hitty. Guess I could always just peel it off if so, but I'd rather not waste the time.

Very nice choice Brad! I have had 3 Grand Cherokees and loved them... Black on black is sharp.

Check out this site for products and tips on dipping the wheels: DipYourCar.com -Plasti Dip For Your Car - Glossifier Blaze Pearlizer Metalizers Pro Car Kits Peel Coat

Yesterday, I helped a buddy of mine do his wheels and badges on his Tacoma, it was surprisingly easy and looks really nice.

Oh hell yea!! Does look pretty damn good! Is that with the gloss or just the dip? I looked a little bit on that site. I just want to be able to peel it off and not eff anything up if it looks cheap or if I screw something

That is just the dip, no gloss. It took a $50 kit and a 12 pack of Stellas! :favorites13:
I was surprised how easy and nice it went on for a couple of first timers...

Nice choice on the jeep man! I plasti dipped my wife's rims on her car well over a year ago and it still looks like the day I did it. Didn't use the glossifier, I heard it can look wavy or streaky. Whenever we wash hers, I just spray the whole sidewall and rim together with tire shine and wipe the rim off. Gives it a nice semi gloss look and lasts for a little while. They still look good even when the shine wears off.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Those wheels came out nice. Hard to make out in the pics but I tested the glossifier out on some scrap aluminum, and it's a pretty drastic difference than the non gloss. I'll Let it sit outside for a few days and see how the weather affects it

Also, unfortunately, the carbons will not fly in the jeep so they are up for grabs if anyone's interested.

The Dyns may be next. Ill see what I can do with them.

You had to post those the same day I'm having Hertz installed because I couldn't bring myself to pay for the Dyn 3 ways. :emotions122:

LOL

Those should be gone within an hour. I had them in my old RAM and they are amazing.

Ha! That's usually how it works.

I don't feel like going through the effort of butchering another door to make these work. And yes, they sound ridiculously good.

Damn dude... It kinda hurts to see this, but then I remember that it means another awesome Bknob build would be coming up and I feel much better!

Where's the Jeep??

Yea, it stings for sure. With down time being a little harder to come across with the baby and I've been getting quite a bit of side jobs locally, I had to find spots to shave some time and effort in the jeep build. Mutilating the doors was one of them. Smaller, less intrusive mids was another. Jeep pillars are much smaller.

The jeep should be delivered Monday. Trying to find a way to receive it and put the drop springs on before the wife knows it came in. Lmao.... So I can just say it came like that.
