I’m no expert on this by any means, but from my understanding, and this is straight from the owners manuals for the XD amp; the way we hooked up our amps it’s considered high voltage. The high voltage is from 2-8 volts. I believe you check it by simply testing the voltage output of the wires you tapped into to get the signal. I have not personally done this test, but I will tomorrow night.
I remember reading someone checking the voltage and it being close to 8 volts, or at least it was in the high range of 2-8.
When I talked to the JL tech guy he initially said it needed to be on Low. But when he went over the settings again, he said high. And like I said before, they way I understand the manual, it should be on high.
I think having it on low just amplifies it more?? Tomorrow night I’ll be able to play with everything more, and I’ll see if I cause an explosion or loud pop if I switch it from high to low while playing music.
