I had a 2000 4.7 in a Dakota with the same issue. A new radiator fixed it.

I'm hoping it's one of the parts I bought or the radiator and not a head gasket. I have water pump, mopar thermostat, fan clutch and fel-pro gaskets851598887f802eb6a63190bf9a95beab.jpg

do far the shop has no idea what the issue is, they have been at it since 8 this morning

shop replaced fan clutch, thermostat and water pump so idk what actual part failed [emoji23] but its fixed and running like a top
