I just got an 08 Ram 1500. Its fantastic! The PO put on 295 65r 20 tires on it, with the stock 20" rims, and it rubs on the sway bar at full lock, and upper control arms as well. I'm sure I need wheel spacers. I've never been down this path before. On some calculator I used, it basically said I was about 1 inch wider than the stock 265 65r 20's, what spacer size would I need? 1 inch? Any ideas? I don't want to tear anything up.

Mods; I posted this in the General Discussions thread. Please close/delete it from here, it's not really a DIY thread. I apologize.

Bora 2” they’re hub centric a perfect fit. They are kinda pricey but worth the money.

2" ? Would that be too wide? I'm not arguing, I really don't have a full grasp on this aspect of tires and such. Really, I don't understand my dang P0440 code either. Maybe I'm just not that smart ...

BTW... I see you're a Marine, thank you for your service.

The 295s are exactly 30 mm wider than stock or roughly 1.2 inches. Thats 0.6 inches on either side.
Not sure what McBroom means by "hub centric" but, me thinks it divides width in half down center of rim. Please correct me if my guess is wrong about yhe hub centric thing. :) McBroom's one of the smart ones here, so...in the words of Sheriff Bart in Blazing Saddles,

Check your gas cap. P0440 is a leak in the EVAP. gas cap is the most likely source.

Newish gas cap...buddy has a 2015 ram and we swapped for a few days. Both my gascap code came on, I cleared it and then the p0440 came on after warming the truck up for about 3 min. That’s always when it happens. I’ve inspected all the hoses to the charcoal canister. Maybe I have a vacuum leak near my throttlebody. Upstream of that UFO looking device near the battery.

I will keep you posted on the spacers, but I really don’t think I need a full inch. It starts rubbing right before full lock. This is why I always keep my vehicles close to stock. Less headaches.
