Paint

In the thread concerning gripes and the sort (I have seen other threads/posts) some are saying their paint job from the factory is not that good. To be honest I have purchased 3 RCSB Hemi's 2 being 4X4's, a 2010, 2014 and the 2015 R/T and being the ocd type I have polished/waxed the living Jesus out of all 3. I have yet to see one paint defect amongst them and this has me wondering if the different plants have anything to do with this.


I believe all three of my rcsb RAM's were manufactured in Mexico and understand many of the qc and cc are screwed together in the Wolverine state.


Is this post close to accurate and is there a difference in how they are painted between the two plants??????

It is my understanding that they have more problems with paint coming out of the Warren Plant. I also thought I read somewhere that they were going to upgrade their paint facility. There does seem to be a lot of paint related problems, although I haven't experienced any of them with the exception of some orange peel on my 10.

yep, way more "issues" with the trucks coming out of the Warren plant.........my "Mexican" Rams had much better paint jobs.

My '14 was so bad the entire truck was repainted, no joke.

My megacab came out of Mexico. Hope to not have these issues on a new truck.

Recently Chrysler did do a new paint shop. I'm a union pipefitter and worked up there in Detroit and they were talking about that jobs 5 years ago and I believe It did happen in the last 2 years or so
