painted grille

I am looking to change the front of my truck. As you can see from the photo I have an ST with mineral grey bumpers. I have thought about having them painted to match. But recently considering embracing the bumpers and doing the grille in two colors. First thought is black surround with mineral grey cross hairs, or reverse it with black cross hairs and MG surround. Plan on having JJ retro my headlights later, and want them to have either black surrounds with MG backs, or again mg surrounds with black back. If someone could mock me up some pics I would appreciate it.

I would keep the outside color the truck color. Then the MG inside.

Thanks that works to give me an idea. It would probably look even better with chrome inserts instead of the black ones. A tactical grille insert would really set it off with the middle being MG.

Here is how the factory matched emblem came out. The plasti dip just wasn't working and started coming off after a car wash.

The grill is not plasti dipped anymore either as it didn't look as good as I wanted. I think for now until I get a paintable grille get plasti dip smoke and giving it a black chrome look. If I could figure out an easier way to get the chrome coating off the grille I would probably just use the grille I have, but I found a place where I can get a paintable for $183.00 with free shipping.
