My first time painting interior trim - turned out pretty good for spray cans in the garage. I'll wait to see how well it holds since I don't know if I used enough adhesion promoter and I ran out of clear coat:

Thanks - the air filter is a Vararam that used to be orange, but it looked out of place after I put on the white half engine covers.

That looks awesome! Removing the chrome in mine was on the list, looks like I'll be going this route.

Man that looks awesome! I have been wanting to do mine the same color, but worried how dirty hands would be with the white. Keep us posted how it holds up. I may try the plastidip with glossifier as a test run too.

Thanks everyone - I'm thinking to put another coat of clear on just to strengthen it, but I'll keep ya posted.

where did you get the valve covers?

They're half engine covers - I got them from 3gCustomz.com and then had them powder coated white.

Here are a few other pics:

What paint did you go with?

I used Duplicolor since they had an exact paint match. I used the primer, adhesion promoter, paint, and clear. They're cheap and available everywhere. Amazon has the 6 pack of paint for $32...

My only complaint is with the clear - 3 coats and it still doesn't look like it's got any. I'm going to try SEM clear next time...

The 6 pack of paint on Amazon comes with what you mentioned? You have a link to exact product? I'm looking at doing the exact same thing...

I used about 4 cans of color for the parts I painted - these cans are ~9$ each at Autozone, so this 6-pack deal can't be beat:
Amazon.com: Dupli-Color (BCC0362-6 PK) Bright White Chrysler Exact-Match Automotive Paint - 8 oz. Aerosol, (Case of 6): Automotive

I used some left over white primer in my garage, but honestly, I don't think it's needed if you lightly sand and use adhesion promoter.

And the adhesion promoter (1 can is plenty):
Amazon.com: Dupli-Color CP199 Clear Adhesion Promoter Primer - 11 oz.: Automotive

But I wouldn't use the Dupli-color clear again so I just ordered a can of this to try out:
Amazon.com: SEM 40903 - 1K HS Clear - High Performance Clearcoat: Automotive
