I am wanting to paint my intake manifold but i am going to do it myself. I plan to use 600 grit sand paper to lightly scuff the surface if needed. Then i am going to use adhesion promoter, followed by a coat of primer. Next will be duplicolor factory matched paint with a couple coats of high temp clear. I am just curious if that sounds ok and if the engine temps will affect the paint. Comments, tips, suggestions, do's and don'ts welcome??? Thanks.

I don't know a thing about painting but it sure sounds like a well thought out plan. Good luck, I'm sure you will get someone on here that knows something soon.

Used to sell raw materials to paint manufacturers. The primer won't hurt but shouldn't be necessary with the ad pro .
