What’s up everyone. My 2018 Big Horn 5.7l currently has a AFE CAI, Carven Progressive, Pedal Commander and a Fastman TB that’s gonna be ordered as soon as they open up again. What else can be done on the performance end without having to mess with a tune. Don’t want the drama of unlocked PCM’s, etc, etc. Truck runs strong, I’m not complaining. Just want to know if there is anything else I can squeeze out of her.

If you're on 3.21 gears there are 3.55 and 3.92 which increase torque to the wheels in each gear by 10.5 and 22% respectively & if you presently have an open diff, adding LSD to that makes a huge improvement in putting that torque down.

I’ve got 3.55’s. Again. I love the truck. With my 2013 I had all I mentioned above, plus headers and a tune. Truck was quick but I was constantly stressed about the tune and how it would affect warranty God forbid something blew up plus having to remove the tune every time it went to the dealer. Maybe I’m getting old, but I don’t want to deal with that any more. Believe me I have a 500hp Fox Body Mustang that has all sorts of work and couldn’t get near the power or drive ability levels I’m at without a custom tune so I know it’s benefits. But this is my daily, and it’s barely two years old and under warranty.

Commute 400 miles a week year round with mine, for the cost of a pedal commander/TB you’re well on the way to a custom tune/unlocked PCM. With the 8 speed it’s a completely different animal, even off the showroom floor with tuning.

Tuning makes it more reliable as well, increasing idle oil pressure to minimize lifter failure along with dropping operating water/oil temps with a cooler thermostat.

Save your money on the throttle body,it won't give you much return for your money on a stock truck .

How did you end up with 3.55's? I was under the impression that only 3:21's and 3.92's were available from MY 2014 forward in the HEMI powered trucks.

Some 13 8 speed trucks came through with 3.55's,and 3.55's are still available with the 6 speed trucks. The 6 speed transmission is still used in the classic trucks, especially in Canada,FCA's dumping ground for their left over stock of 6 speeds

A week or two ago I was going through the online configuration menu and didn't see 6 speed as an option for 2020 classics, on the US site anyway. I figured they were done with that transmission.

They might be,as i haven't checked out any of the local dealers lots to see if they're still sticking them in the 2020 Classics, but they were still using them in the 19's up here.If they still have lots of the 6 speeds left in stock yet,i'd hazard a guess they'd still be using them in the 2020's up here though.Last time i went through the local dealers lot looking at Classics, the majority of them still had the column shifter though

I'll put her on a diet and try to remove 100 lbs of weight or more. Free mods no tune. You can also have ligther/smaller wheels/tires, you may need to drop her so it'll look good. Not free but no tune and will give you better performance as well.
