Lets see some pics of your gap guards. I've heard there's a couple different ways to put them in. Some have turned them around I guess for a better look? Lets see what your's look like and tell us which way they're facing.

I forgot about this thread. I put mine in a long time ago. I'd get some pics, but the snow and salt have mine messy. Can hardly tell they're in there anyways.

Gap guards or for body lifts. You only need them on the front wheel wells for the 4th Gens. The back wheel wells hide the gaps without then. Mainly so you cannot see your engine through the wheel well after a body lift.

Put the dull side out so you don't see the shiny side. I've seen them with the shiny side out and they look horrible because you can tell. The wheel wells are dull by factory.

When you do a body lift there is a Gap where the wheel well liner raises up and exposes the bottom of the engine. Gap Guards cover this gap

Got mine on. Found some detailed pics on the other forum of a 4th gen so I used that as my guide. They don't look as bad as I thought they would when I pulled them out of the box. Unless you get close and look you can't tell they're in there. Should make a big difference in how much salt and sand gets on my engine!

As its been said before the rear gap guards are a waste as there isn't anything that needs to be covered and everything looks good. Without them in the front there is a gap that you can see the engine through. With the gap guards in place it gives a much cleaner look and you don't even know that the truck has a body lift.
