Plasti Dip Suggestions

I have been reading alot about plasti dip, I know that I want to do the rims on my truck, but I wanted to see if you guys had any other suggestions on what to dip, or what would look good on my truck?

^lol. other than the rims maybe your steps, then it all depends on what kind of look youre going for... some have tested it on bumpers, rockers, hood stripes/spears

I was thinking maybe the hood, steps, grill(paint is chipping), and bumpers?
Maybe at some point a black toolbox or black bed rails as well?

I'm not sure how it would look though. I think the red and black would make a nice combination.

Red and black is the best color combo! (look at sig)...wheels, steps, and you gotta do something about them headlights. Get some black aftermarkets or soemthing...hit up JJ.

A black box and bedrails would look alright too. Maybe roll bar? :********:

I've been wanting to do new headlights, but black tinted lenses are illegal in Kansas, I think.

I was also thinking the black box and bed rails, would look nice.

For the rims maybe cop car style, black rims w/ chrome caps and lugs?

this stuff can go on anyhting let ya creativity go nuts and rember if you dont like it it peels right off but make sure you do a good 4 to 5 coats

By black headlights I was reffering to something like these

But if if you go through JJ you can get them done up however you want to include some HID's :********:

I'd say go for the box and rails, they'll add a little something to the back to help it stick out and look more complete. Plus, who doesn't love a little extra storage space you don't exactly have to keep clean?

Having a little bit of chrome on wheels wouldn't hurt, would be interesting to see. Could always plasti-dip first too to see how it would look and if the look suits you, then you could either leave it plasti-dipped, get it powder coated, or buy a set of wheels already done up that way.

Oh and as for the plasti-dip, 3-4 coats should do fine as long as you make each coat nice and even.

They would wouldn't they? Makes me wish I had a Red 2nd gen to sit next to my 4th...If only I kept my 99...except it was white, lol.

I think I need to add to the list of mods I want!

I got all my lights for my second gen off of ebay, cheap and easy. I did have a led tail light melt on me though...got in contact with the buyer and he shipped me a replacement for free since I didn't have the light on the truck for more then a month. Can't remember who it was though.
