I'm still contemplating doing this, but i don't know if I would want it plasti dip or mineral gray

You could plasti-dip it until you decide what to do. You can always peel it off and paint it MG if you want.

Usually around $6 or $7 per can depending on where you buy it from.

Nope. It's a lot more forgiving than paint is lol. Just mist the first coat on then get heavier as you go along

I got tired of the blinding effect of the chrome ring around the shifter, so I coated it in plasti-dip! It's almost an exact match on color and texture of the shifter base. One of my easiest mods yet!

I thought it was just me. About 4 other friends never thought it was a problem. Maybe it's my seating position because I'm taller I have no idea. That was probably the most annoying thing, the reflection, the second most annoying thing was how many fingerprints that chrome ring would attract!

Here's mine. Obviously while Photo'ing It caught the sun, which just makes the before picture perfect in my mind.
