I pulled the engine out of my 2007 megcab hemi non-mds after finding metal in the last oil change. Dropped engine off at machine shop and turns out my cam bearings were "shot". I had the machine shop install new piston rings, all new bearings, timing kit, camshaft, hone cylinders, resurface the heads, valve seals, and valve springs. After assembling and installing the engine, there was no compression in any cylinder. I called the machine shop and they had me try various things without any luck. They finally told me to back out the rocker arm bolts a bit at a time to see if I gained any compression and I was starting to. I was curious and pulled the head on passenger side after this and discovered all four intake valves were contacting the pistons. Machine shop asked how I assembled the motor and the guy in charge stated I should have never soaked my lifters because now they're pumped up and not allowing the valves to close or I ordered the wrong push rods, (which they are not because I compared them to the stock one I already had and I did not mix up exhaust and intake rods either). This is my first time pulling and installing an engine, but if the machinist was correct wouldn't the exhaust valves also hit the pistons? I'm thinking its a timing issue but he disagrees. Any ideas or input????
