A few weeks ago I picked up a 2019 Hemi Warlock. I love the truck, but after having it for a few my back is killing me. I mean this thing is rearranging my whole spine. My back hurts every minute of the day even when I've only driven 40 minutes. I've tried every adjustment possible, and memory foam pad.
Is this any kind of known issue with the Classic? Or do I just have some kind of lemon seat?
I had a 2017 bighorn and never had the slightest issue with anything. Can I put a Bighorn or Laramie seat in this truck? The dealer said the only direct fit seat is the OEM. Are there any custom options?
I'm really tripping. I just bought the truck, did the exhaust, threw a Bak MX4 on it, and now I'm not even sure I can keep driving it..

You can Swap back to the seat from your old truck. Were both trucks power driver seats?

Seats from any 4th gen will physically bolt in. Any issues might come about if there are differences in the controls for them. I have no idea what controls your Warlock has, but I would imagine a Laramie would have more power options for the seats. So you'd need to work that out.

Thank you. I wonder if I'd need an unlocked PCM and a tune to make it work without throwing codes all the time....I can't believe my luck here. I wonder if my seat is just a brick--a dud or something. Everyone says their Warlock is comfortable....

I've owned a 2015 Tradesman and a 2017 Rebel as far as 4th gens go. I can say that the seat in the Tradesman was fine for short trips but it sucked for long drives. It's part of the reason I got rid of it and bought the Rebel, which I thought had much more comfortable seats. I've never driven or even ridden in a Warlock so I can't say for sure. But if I'm not mistaken the seats aren't significantly different that what they used in the Tradesman other than the covers. Someone please correct me if I am wrong about that.

This thing is putting the hurt on me for the whole day even after short trips. The back is really hard and it's almost like it's over stuffed or something. It presses hard into my back. I swear I feel like just sitting in this truck is realigning my spine.

Thanks, but I don't have it anymore. Would a 4th gen Laramie seat work in my truck?
Yes, and they should plug right in. THe only programming you would need to do is if the new seats you swap in have MORE features than your current seat (except for power adjustment, that's all internal to the seat and only requires power). For example, if you swapped in heated and cooled memory seats you would need an additional module, possibly wiring, and definitely programming in the BCM to add the new features. If the seats are the same form factor as your current seat, you can pull the upholstery and cushions off your current seat and swap them with the new one so everything matches (this would not work for a vented seat though if you don't currently have a vented seat). I have an 2014 Express with manual seats and swapped the driver's seat to a powered seat from a bighorn, swapped the upholstery and sold the old seat.

The problem is the front of the seat does not raise enough to provide support for your legs. I had the same issue. I bought a set of seat jackers from desertdoesit.com and have not had an issue with my back after driving since. They are a little pricey but well worth the saving on back pain.

Agreed, if you swap to the basic power seat the front height is adjustable. Huge improvement in comfort for the driver (probably for the passenger too but my wife hasn't complained).

Yep I have a set of jackers in my '09 ST, made a big difference in my driving from Cali to Arkansas for my hunting trips.

I had a 13, 1500 SLT that was a cheap truck. The seat's were like a brick, I have serious back issues and a stimulator connected to my spinal cord. I hurt so much with that truck seats I traded in after 8,000 miles. The Big Horn seats are great, but our 19 Limited is like so nice.

thank you! I have read about these before. I've been trying to get used to driving with the front up as high as it goes. It feels a little strange to me. But at this point I might be on a collision course with the jackers....
I know I can't keep doing nothing.
Tomorrow morning I'm headed to an upholstery shop that was recommended to me. I was thinking the cushion was shot. After like 15 minutes my sit bones hurt and my butt goes numb and then the lower back stuff kicks in. It seems like the seat doesn't meet with the back correctly or something .
Please tell me if this all sounds familiar and I should just skip right to the jackers!!

I would try a set of cheap thigh bolsters, 1st. If they work, get some good quality ones. My Caddy and Wife's Caddy both had them as OEM and they were outstanding for back issues when used in conjunction with power seat positions and the lumbar support adjustments.

Sounds very familiar. I would do the jackers before modifying the seat cushion. Or even try some sort of cushion under the lower part of your thighs close to your knees. The main point here is elevating the front of the seat will take some of the pressure off your back and be closer to a natural seating position. I have a 2024 Limited. Even with the standard seat controls the front of the seat does not elevate high enough for me. Jackers were my solution. :)

So, the upholstery guy says my foam and springs are fine. I was hoping maybe there was some obvious problem! He commented on how high the front of my seat was, and suggested adjusting that down a bit. So he also wasn't sold on the jackers idea when I explained it to him. But I still haven't ruled it out.
I at least learned that if worst comes to worst he can shape new foam custom-fit to me for a LOT less than I would've thought .. he can set up a new seat and let me drive it for a day or too to make sure it works before reinstalling the covers.
