The swaybar is powdercoated black. I say leave that badboy alone for now, but that is just me.

@Jwithing, do you plan on coating the underside of the truck bed etc? I am curious what can and cannot be treated with POR-15. Obviously electrical and brake lines are a no-no. What about exhaust pipe?

According to the specs, it's gray. If it's black I'll certainly leave it.

I wasn't planning on going that balls to the wall. I thought about dabbing a bit on my muffler to see what happened, but didn't lol. I guess it's a matter of the temp rating if your wondering about exhaust.

Looks like they have a high temp version good up to 1200 degrees.

I was looking at some sort of sound dampening coating on top of POR-15, to eat some of the road rattle and hum. Dunno if that is doable or even effective.

From what I've read, you can use por-15 as a base and paint over it, so I don't see any reason why you could spray some sound deadener on it. Is that really necessary with all your dynomat? Lol

Can you snap a pic for me?

If you are using POR-15 as a base, you will need to apply your top coat while it is still tacky or use a self etching primer on top of it before your top coat.

Once the POR-15 hardens, paint wont grab it.
Trust me.

Thanks! Did it always look like that or is it worn? May be able to live with it... First world problems lol. If it looks black from a far, I may deal with it unless I can make it to the powder coated Thursday before they close.

Of course, my sway bar was supposed to be delivered today and instead I get an email that shipping would be delayed up to June 8th. Cancelled the order and placed it through Moe's

June 8th, whuuuut...so much for Amazons 1 day shipping. You would have thought they would have known that at the time you placed your order. Getting too big and failing at customer service like every other oversized company.

I'm trying to discipline myself to become anti amazon before the day comes where I'm getting my gas at amazon gas station, food from amazon grocery and driving my amazon truck down the amazon freeway to get to the amazon hospital to see the delivery of my grandchildren.

:biggun:lol

It did say there was only one left in stock when I ordered it. Maybe someone beat me to it or it was an "inventory error"
