Possible to add foglights to RAM 1500 without them?

Wondering if this would be possible, i don’t have the cutouts in my bumper but if i recall correctly Chrysler already has the wiring in the harness for them.

Is there aftermarket fogs that fit into the 2 plastic dummy covers on the front bumper that’ll hook up to the factory wiring harness so i can buy the fog light switch for the dash and program them in with Alfa? Thanks in advance.

I can't see what year truck you have but yes you can. 09-12 is a little tougher now because finding the fog light jumper harness is hard since they don't produce it anymore. There are ways around it. Make your own or tap into the truck's side fog light wiring. Alfaobd should be able to program early 4th gens for fogs.

13-19 classic is somewhat easier. I don't believe Mopar sells the jumper harness but @M2Mods makes one. Alfaobd definitely can program fogs

I have a 2013, forgot to add that. Happy to hear it’s easier for the 2013+ trucks.

We used to do a direct connect with fog lights to battery and put in a toggle switch. Should be able to do this and bypass all the modern electronics.

On the 13+ half of the fog light feed is built into the headlight harness, somewhere around the driver's wheel well there is a 4 pin plug. That's the fog light feed. As I stated M2Mods makes and sells the " jumper" harness that goes to each fog light. I believe it's about $50. The switch you can get from rockauto.com for around $35. They are also a vendor here and offer a discount code. I'm not sure on the 1500s if you need brackets for fogs or not but if so rockauto.com would have them along with the fogs. Programming is easy with alfaobd. It's one or 2 steps. It's been about 2 years since I did my truck

The dealer used to have a retro-fit foglight kit that fit in the rectangular bumper cut-outs,but when i went looking for it for my 13 several years back,it'd been discontnued. That's if the bumper you're referring to is similiar to this bumper. I ended up cutting a set of flush mount Ridgid driving lights into the bumper, and just used a dash switch and relay to run them

Make your own with LED's. Did it on my 2500 and they work great. Every pair and every bar has it's own switch. Made a relay/power distribution board up so the only connection to the truck is battery + and ground -. Dealer can't blame any electrical problems on me splicing anything. And it was fun.7e7f6b4f0ee06a14894341fc2cde6d20.jpg9bebd8f0da3a3315ba5b8d1a6444e810.jpg0d7de2f8bc0253e111ede783195c2179.jpg

I did same factory-install of my lights. Using the factory switch from AllMoparParts vendor here, a harness from M2Mods, another vendor here, and AlphaOBD. The only problem for me was I did not have factory cutouts so I bought and modified brackets to install in the space between license plate and top of bumper.

I don't have a picture for some reason, will post one later.
