I have a 2017 1500 Crew Cab that came with factory rear under-seat storage “bins”. Normally I wouldn’t mind them too much, but having a car seat makes it impossible to access things I put into them without removing the car seat. Is there any way to remove them and just have the space under the rear seats?

I think they are molded into the floor pan. Removing them would likely result in large holes in the floorboard that would need to be patched. If you have access to thin sheet metal and a welder I’m sure anything is possible, but it would probably be more effort than is worth vs just removing the car seat when necessary.

I don’t think it leaves holes i the bottom. I’ve had my whole interior gutted. If I remember right you should be able to cut out the vertical sheet metal with out hurting the floor pan.

I was thinking about doing that myself. No one sits in my back seats so I may do something with the back of my quad cab

Im pretty sure i saw a video on YT that removes what your are talking about. I believe they were installing a custom sub box so not sure it would work with nothing under the seats as a support. Worth checking out.

This is what I had in mind. I found NetAudio youtube channel and I was so pumped seeing they had a 3 sub box but it's only for the 5th Gen specifically.

I wish I could fit 3 12s in my Ram somehow
