As I anxiously wait for my truck to be built I have a question. I've ordered the truck with the power running boards. I like how running boards can help prevent for dings the parked, at least that's been my experience with my Tacoma.

Can the power running boards be left deployed when parked?

Thank you,

Matt

Yes you can have them deployed if you choose to. It's under control settings on radio.

Has anyone noticed the running boards seem to have quite a bit of flex to them? I’m about 260 and when I stepped on them at a car show it felt like they had quite a bit of give. I expected them to be more rigid.

Maybe the factory ones are? I have the Amp boards and I'm around 220 and they feel pretty solid.

They don't seem to flex on mine. I have air bags and I can rock/move the entire truck when I step up.

I noticed the same thing, as commented on it to my dealer. They have more flex than the power running boards my old Escalade had for sure.

I have the Amp=Research power steps on mine and they flex maybe 1/4 inch under my full weight on one foot climbing in. I weigh in at 240 so thats not bad IMO.

They are extruded aluminum so some flex is healthy

I don't see why you would want to, the truck looks great with them tucked away. I don't really want to see mine unless i'm using them
