Was looking in to eventually get a power moon roof. Is this possible if it isn't factory installed? Clueless on this. Any help would be nice

I know its possible to do, my aunt had one put in on a car of hers. No clue what it costs or anything of that knowledge, but it is something that is and can be done.

I saw a post here a few months back from a guy who had a really nice sunroof installed in his Ram. It looked factory. You might try a search here.

Here we have some pro shop that are doing that kind on installation. For a good quality and powered sunroof that look almost like oem , that's around 1300-1500 $ installed.

1300-1500 Canadian right? I know the new 14 you can order one from the factory $995 option, $846 invoice. Generally things are always cheaper aftermarket as opposed to factory ordering though. Call around, let us know :)

That's about right. I remember when Ziebart use to do them back in the early 2000's, it was around $1,000 or a little more for a good power moon roof. They quit doing them though. I've heard they're around that $1,300 - $1,500 mark now for aftermarket moon roofs.

Called around some. So far the best deal I have received is 1100 installed plus tax. Seems to be a pretty deal so far as the other shops have been around 1300t to 1500. I will keep y'all posted as to what I do.

Everything I could find said they were the best. And the highest end sunroof style is what I was priced 1100. Is that good?

this is a mod you dont want to cheap out on for sure. Also make sure the place doing the install is highly rated. you dont want just any random dude cutting holes in your roof.

The guy that quoted me this has been doing it for 15 years and I have seen a lot of pictures of his work. But a renowned installer with more experience is charging 1495 plus tax.

Chevy Dealer installed mine but $1100 doesn't sound too bad. I didn't have a single issue with the Webasto in the 7 years that I owned the car!

There are few things I would go to the dealer....especially if it involves warranty stuff. What would a dealer charge?

That sounds like a reasonable price. Did he offer any kind of warranty on his work though? I would want some kind of warranty on a sunroof. It's one of those things if not done right become a huge pain. I've heard horror stories of them leaking or the motor burning out to quickly.

Well I was talking more about the sunroof. That is one thing I would want covered. Lifetime is awesome though and that's a great price for a power one. I'd do it. I want to find someone around me. That's the one thing I wish my truck had.
