Yeah, im thinking amber for snow, but mounted on the hood latch, like you have your ditch lights (they would need to be high enough to shine over the plow)

I just dont know if thats a good spot for them, because of the way snow reflects light
If they are the wide beam pattern it shouldn't make too much of a difference being that high.

Wait for their Black Friday sale they usually have. If you get the SAE Wide NCS 2Banger pods you can run them without worry of being considered an off road light. They will be legal.

Nice look. I recently put on a Fab Four front bumper with 3" cube lights for the fog lamps. I'm now thinking of adding either a light bar or two more 3" cubes on the top of the bumper.

What make are the cube lights? Morimoto uses their pod lights with links to make their light bars. You can check to see if they are on sale now for Black Friday sale. They have 2Banger 4Banger and BigBanger light bars made with your choice of light patterns. colors to link together for a light bar.

I went ahead and purchased a Randy Ellis mount for the front of my 3500 and Morimoto BigBanger pod lights. (NCS) spots/combo.

When the lights come in I will get busy on the install.

Morimoto BigBanger light pod:

Randy Ellis Design Light Bar Mount:

The Randy Ellis Design Sleekster light bar mount is the only one that I've heard of that doesn't interfere with the front parking sensors.

If anyone is interested, on The Retrofit Source website, they have the Morimoto light pods and light bars on sale for 15% off right now.
Ehhh, not true in my case, I run with my sensor turned off…….2021 Ram ….

@diymirage
If you are still considering the ditch lights in the yellow lenses, I aimed the ditch lights the way it was suggested here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QindvgsVCSY
That makes sense, especially for my application because I want them as high beams in heavy snow
(Only reason I'm considering mounting them so high, is to be able to shine over a raised plow)

Thanks

dumb question, but you can still open the hood with these things installed without them hitting the windshield, no?

Yes, they're designed that way. Nothing touches the windshield. Sorry for the late response.

So they said they couldn't change the order so they were going to cancel it and then once it canceled I could order it again, but with the lights I wanted

I called them on Tuesday, I believe and the girl said it got canceled, so that's when I reordered it

The brackets showed up on Thursday, the lights are still in transit

So in short, it sounds like it got fixed, but I won't know for sure till the lights get here

they just got delivered, looks like they send the amber ones i wanted

the cool thing is, i had ordered the pigtails to build my own wiring harness, only to find out they use the same plugs as the pod lights rough country sells

i had put jumper wires in the pod lights so i have 2 complete wiring harness' kicking around that i can cut up and customize for these

ill put the wiring in place tomorrow, but the actual lights wont get installed until after Christmas

Good to hear, I used their wiring harness and had to buy finished Deutch 4 pin extension harnesses from Diode Dynamics to keep the big Morimoto harness tucked away and hidden.

Here's a nice lil update for you...remember I said I had ordered the pigtails?

I just went through the carwash and ripped one of the wires off, popped them out of the pigtails and shredded it

Luckily I had the stock wiring harness till in the garage so I soldered a new pigtails on and we are good to go again
