How the hell did you get the bushings installed into the shock, removing the old ones no sweat. After lots of cussing and wanting to throw **** I gave up, any help would be great. lol

Cut them in half. :favorites13:

Press them in with a vise...or a c-clamp if you don't have a vise. It's not rocket science, Jay.

Are those the right shocks for a 5" rear drop?

The fronts shouldn't matter since 2 of the 4 inches I am dropped is from the drop spindle.

My pleasure! I actually enjoyed figuring out how to make these shocks work... Now I am kinda sad that it's done. Maybe I should start all over again... :superhack:Lol!

No need man, I'll cruise over and you can do a fresh install on my ride :happy107:

After trying everything including pressing them in I ended up cutting them like this. Works perfect!

I cut them the other way where it leaves two halves you insert from either side... but I don't think the way you did it will be a problem.

So you guys that have had the QA1's for a while now, where are you on the adjustments? I see a couple of you were up at 14/15 on the rear. Was this because the shock needed more compression or rebound? Do you feel that they could be better if you wold have gotten the double adjustable so you could tune the comp / rebound independently?

Ordering next week and trying to decide between the double or single adjustable. I really don't want to spend the extra $400, but if it's worth it then it's worth it.

Thanks for the input!

Was curious about this too. I installed the front QA1's about a week ago and the rear this past Sunday. I started at a setting of 12 all the way around, then bumped it back to 10 today to see the difference. Tomorrow I'm going to go up to about 13-14 and try that out.

10 to me seems stiffer than the belltech shocks but still a little too squirly for my liking.

I've never had adjustable shocks on any vehicle, so I'm not sure I'd even know where to start with double adjustable [emoji33]

Can you explain "squirly" for me? Does it feel as though when you hit a bump that the shock compresses too much or too quickly, or is it when the spring pushes the truck back up that it feels like it is going up too quickly?

Thanks!

I have also bumped mine up a step or two at a time... 13 seems to be firm, but still comfortable for me. I have yet to try any firmer.

I didn't get the dual adjustable because I didn't want to have to spend too much time dialing them in. If I was hitting a road coarse every weekend, I would have definitely got the dual, but for a daily driver, the single adjustable is a significant enough improvement over non-adjustable shocks.

I take it this is for the rear (13 clicks)? What about the front?

Do you feel you could use more rebound, but don't want to go any stiffer on the compression?

Thanks!
