I have a stock height 2015 EcoDiesel Lonestar edition 4x4. What would I need to do to the height to get just enough clearance for 35s? I don't want to go crazy and I would LOVE to fit in the garage still, even if by half an inch :)

I saw a guy at the tire shop with a 3rd Gen and he had them and said all he needed was 1.5" lift in the front and he has VERY minor rubbing when the wheel is turned all the way.

Should I get a lift, spacers, or Bilstein 5100s to accomplish said goal?

Bilstein 5100s would be the best thing to do and I only rub on full turn which can be fixed with a spacer or an aftermarket rim with good offset

I was going to use the stock rims for cost sake and I like them :) what width spacer? what do you have the Bilsteins set for? Max height? I assume you have the same truck?

Go for the Bilstein 5100's. You can get them from jet.com for like $150 for the pair.

Shoot, I can get them local for like $120 a pair. Do they need to be at a specific setting? And should I get a pair for the rear just for the sake of them all bring the same? How much will they raise the truck?

That's a good deal. I wouldn't get the rear shocks... The Bil's have 4 settings and maxed at 2.8 would raise the front up to around 2". There are a lot of topics in this forum that can probably answer a whole lot of your questions as everyone has been postin about them lately, including myself.

As cheap as you're getting them... Yea I'd snag up a set for the rear. Not really necessary, but I'd do it.

I paid right under $200 for my bils before all these deals kicked off. So for $40-$50 more (theoretically) it's worth it.

So the Bilsteins at max setting will give me clearance for 35s with the possibility of just needing a spacer to clear when the wheel is turned all the way?

yes max bils and a .25" spacer on stock wheels will give you enough clearance.

I've heard several people with the bilsteins and a 1/4" or 10 mm spacer running 35s with no rub . It's a bit of a stuffed wheel well look but it seems to work .
If bills maxed out ( top ring @ +2.8" ) makes your front too high just install a .75"-1.0" coil spacer in the back to achieve level

Why buy an ecodiesel if you're going to ruin the mileage with 35's?

Bilsteins are what you should use for the level, and BORA wheel adaptors are what you should use to space the wheels out. I have 1.5" and they look great.

Be prepared to lose 5 mpg instantly with the 35's though.

Wow. Will I lose 5 miles per gallon if I went with the same setup driving my 4.7 liter

Yes. 4-5 mpg loss as soon as 35's are put on. They take a lot of power to turn!

I have Bils @ 2.1" and 35's on 20" stockers. I certainly didnt lose 5 MPG. Maybe 3 at the most.

Just so I understand, the Bilsteins actually raise the truck by 2.8" at max level? So putting them all the way around is somewhat equivalent to a 2.8" suspension lift?
