I'm finally taking my truck in to get a spray in bed liner, and after some research I decided to go with Bullet Liners. My question to you guys is have any of you guys got inside your wheel wells sprayed? Being in Ohio we tend to get a decent amount of snow and ice, and with that comes salt. So would it be worth it to get the wheel wells sprayed as well? Thanks for the help ahead of time!

Also here's a picture of my truck

The wheel wells are almost fully encased with plastic. I doubt the spray would be of much benefit or even stick well.

The only exposed part is in the front wells, where you can see the control arms.

Instead of spraying it with that, find a set of inner fenders. I'm sure you can find some at a dealer fairly cheap. They are a lifesaver for the underside of your bed!

Also, I just did my own spray in bedliner using U-Pol Raptor Liner and it turned out great!

If you want to spend money spray lining something, you should do your rocker panels. The ones on my 11 3500 are already toast, and it has less that 20k on it. Granted I live in a place where quite a few of those miles are on dirt roads, but still, it is ridiculous, those are pretty high up on my to-do list.

Thanks everyone for the help, I really appreciate it!

USMC1188, I think I have those inner fenders, and that looks great! I've been using my bed a lot lately and between work, school, and the baby It's just easier to drop off the truck during lunch and pick it up end of day.

Stage 4, After some research I found out that the Owner of Bullet was actually one of the founders of Line-X. After DuPont bought Line-X he sold his shares then created Bullet. Also I haven't seen any bad reviews for them yet, they were cheaper, and the life time warranty doesn't hurt either lol.

jlb, I thought about it because I really want a black rim but I really like the tan that's there. Also I drive mostly freeway and as much as I hate to admit it, the only dirt roads this truck sees is when I'm tailgating concerts.

Once again guys thanks for the advise.

Then I wouldn't worry about it. My 07 looks incredibly good for starting out in New York when new, and then spending it's past few winters in Ohio.

What are they charging you to do your bedliner if I may ask?

That's not bad for a company doing it. I was quoted $700 for Line-x on my truck, which is why I decided to do it myself. I have less than $200 invested in my bed.

I have a long bed, keep in mind. My quote was also for over the rails which you cannot get on the 4th gens. It was Drew's Offroad in Hamilton, Ohio. It was a couple years back.

For a long bed over the rail was 595 in Columbus plus an additional 100 for UV protection

There's some incorrect information in the post. It is true that the Bullet owners originally started LINE-X (Burtin family). But, the Burtins have not been involved in LINE-X in many years and they did NOT sell to DuPont, DuPont has never owned LINE-X. The Burtin's main company is not Bullet, it's a foam company (Burtin Urethanes). They have been in the urethane foam business since the 60's and is still their main company. I should also mention that the Burtins did not invent the main LINE-X formula.

All bedliner companies offer a lifetime warranty, but LINE-X offers a nationwide warranty, Bullet does not. So, if you have a problem and your Bullet dealer goes out of business, you have no warranty.

Bullet only has two products, LINE-X is way more diversified with over twenty. Bullet's best product is BL-71 (which is not typically used as a bedliner product) which has a tear strength of 550 ppi and is not UV stable. LINE-X Platinum which is a bedliner product has a tear strength of 750 ppi and is UV stable.

I'm not trying to say that Bullet is a bad product, because it's not a bad product. It's just that LINE-X is a better product.

Mybad I can't find where they sold to DuPont, I must have jumped to the conclusion when they started including DuPont's Kevlar in their premi formula.

As far as Bullet not offering a Nationwide warranty that is false, It's on their website, and the warranty paper you sign.

As far as I can tell the liner that Bullet sells is as good as line-x. It offers UV protection that you don't have to shell and extra $100 for and they can color match as well. The customer service was excellent, the finished product was better then I expected, and I guess only time will tell how it holds up, but as a consumer I'm happy.

Can't find it on their website, maybe it's just on the paper.
