Question About Grille Emblem

Random question, but why do some of the 3rd generation Rams have the rams head emblem on the center of the grille, and other have it on the top? I can't really find any rhyme or reason to it, but I'm a newbie, so I'm not too familiar with all of the trims yet.

02-05 and the 06-08 3rd gens have different grills

Think they moved quite a few emblems around too.

I know on the 07-08 the Lonestar emblem moved to the back tail gate, as with the Bighorn as far as I know. The HEMI badge moved from the front to the back of the fenders.

And then you have the Sterling Bullet truck that are based on the Dodge frame using another grill with the name on the bottom. Sorry, I just wanted to be apart of something lol.

Btw, one of the big three, went with a larger tailgate emblem for there spring version., so the other two followed suit. No way was it coincidence, that all three sported oversized emblems!! Thats why the 4th gen's have those emblems,(frisbies). imo.

Also 06 to 08 doesn't have the DODGE letters on the tailgate. I'm pretty sure that the 02s have a different back door and the SLT emblem is on the lower back corner behind the window. 06 to 08 have the SLT emblem on the tailgate.
