Hi everyone,I’m new to the forum! I just picked up a used 2016 1500 eco diesel with airride I wanted to put a small lift and larger tires? Has anyone just locked air ride out at off-road 2 instead of lifting? If so what was the result? Looking to find out max tire size for each option! Maybe a 3 inch lift or leveling kit? Thanks in advance

If you lick it out by airing it up and pulling the first it will make the system go crazy with all kinds of error messages on dash. And it takes a while to reset after you replace the first. It will also still slowly lower without the fire. I tried it

Thanks. I’ll avoid that then! What did you end up doing?

You can also get links that trick the truck into thinking its at normal height. This will keep it in or2, but the ride is a lot bouncier and the overload error comes on a lot sooner since its based on bag pressure. You can fit 275 65 20 and they will be fine even in entry/exit. Thats, what I have. As far as lifts go its pretty much 4" or nothing.

I traded mine for a 2018 Laramie and went straight to the lift shop. After locking it out ( and I only did that cause it kept bottoming out on the freeway for about a day) it never recovered the dealer couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. The engineers couldn't f find a fix. My new ride, had it for about six months I've done allot in a short time845face47e1077951eef73df18872e45.jpg

Thanks BWL! All I really wanted to do is put 35s with an aggressive tread, I do a lot of highway and didn’t mind the trail grapplers I had on my old truck. I’ll probably just see what I can find in the that size you suggested. And I can use factory rims

Ridge grappler is between an at and a mud. I really like the ride on them and lower than average noise for everything, but icy roads. I run dedicated snows in the winter so they're a good fit for me.

Plus ridge are all terrain and trail basically mud and not Street friendly noisy and hard. Personally I love the ridge grapplers, although the 37" are a bit hard

Okay. Ridge it is. But 270 60 r20 is largest with stock air ride suspension?

Any rubbing at all with that width? I know my 275 65 20 clear even in entry exit mode, which is basically a 34 X 11.5. Wondered if being 1" shorter gave enough room to go wider. I like the look. I'd like to go chrome as well, but they always end up peeling on me.

No rubbing. It was a hard choice between chrome or black but in the end I didn’t want to have to black out all the other chrome stuff. I’ll just have to stay on them...
