Hey guys I am planing to replace my 5.0 radio with a pioneer AVH-X5700BHS . Is it best to get the idatalink maestro or the metra harness? Looks like idatalink lets me keep uconnect options

you need some sort of canbus module. IMO go with the maestro it offers more functions.

I like my idatalink, it integrates alot of extra features. The main one that I liked is that you can make your steering wheel buttons (if you have them) control different things. I just flipped my controls so that the volume was on the left side. It also lets you see engine codes and reset them through the radio.

Here is the compatible radio list iDatalink - Maestro - iDatalink-compatible radios. Notice that the pioneer does not support vehicle info, gauges, park view camera.

The other option is Axxess XSVI-6523-NAV. Should have input for the back up camera, BT, etc. You would need a steering wheel remote module and the buttons for the back of your steering wheel I think. It offers an accessory power wire which supposedly is not present from the factory so you would have to run one from somewhere. im sure the maestro can do that too.

I guess it all depends on what you want to retain and how much you are willing to spend for it. Im not sure what the Maestro costs.
