I just purchased at 2019 1500 Laramie with 10k miles on it. The first owner never drove and apparently never noticed these weird things.
1) XM favorites alerts don’t come up. If they do, selecting them changes the channel but still stays on the favorites list. My 2014 never did that.
2) not happy with the red theme and no way to change it. Red is a horrible color at night and doesn’t it belong to the Rebel?
3) when using apple phone the buttons on the steering wheel sometimes don’t work.
4) latest one is this crazy radio time. It was on GPS and worked for a couple weeks. Now I have to leave it manual set and every once in a while it still changes on me.
I’ve got several more but will post on different forums. Not sure if it’s connected but my compass is wonky. Either wrong, as in showing north when I’m headed due south, or just disappears.

Any thoughts? I’ve about 13 issues I’ve found in just one month owning it. Seems crazy these weren’t fixed prior.

You can manually reset the compass, if the letters like CCA don't show up on the very top of your instrument cluster
You can find it in your Rams owner manual

It is done by getting in your Ram, turn the ignition to ON, do not start
using your left side steering wheel buttons
move the settings to something like personal preferences
enter Select
from there you will have to play with it, or read the manual

when you find the right buttons, you need to drive around in circles, in a area where there are no metallic objects below or above the ground

As for #2, I believe themes are changed in the display settings. I agree with your statement. Mine was set to red when I took delivery. Glad I had other options

The favorites issue is not just with the Ram trucks. I found a forum where people are reporting the same issue with Jeeps. It is very frustrating. My dealer even changed out my radio for me but the problem still persists. It is hard to understand why this cannot be fixed.

I wanted to give an update. I took it to the dealer and here are there fixes:
#1 XM favorites - they did a radio update. It appears there is a new version from just a few months ago. I’ve got no idea why they didn’t happen OTA.
#2 I still haven’t had a chance to try and find that color setting
#3 the apple issue seems resolved
#4 radio time is right maybe from the update?
#5 the compass has been working correctly for the one day I’ve had it back.
#6 mirror motor clicking when in use - there is a TSB S162300000Rev E. that provides steps to resync them. It seems resolved.
#7 when selecting a favorite from the list it changes to the channel but the screen stays stuck on the list. My 2014 always went to the channel and then show that channel on screen. They say they were unable to replicate even though I can reproduce 100% of the time.
#6 my glovebox light won’t turn off. Apparently there is no adjustment. They just replaced it.
#7 last one. When turning my steering wheel to the left, or using my left turn signal, my left fog light turns on. The wheel has to be turned at least 90 degrees. It does not do this for the right turns. And of course they couldn’t reproduce yet I’m able to 100% of the time.

I know some of these aren’t from this topic but still wanted to provide substance to the issues I’m facing on this truck I just bought. It’s a good thing I took this in when I did. My warranty expired that day. Only 11k miles and a 2019 but it was bought in 2018. I’m guessing the previous owner didn’t notice these or care about them.
