Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorns and Tailgate light bars

First of all, thanks for allowing me to join. My Name is Ron and I live in Ocala, FL. I won a 2013 Laramie Longhorn. I want to install a tailgate Light bar on my truck. But the thick wiring harness that is fed from underneath my truck, this cable runs my back-up camera, Tail gate lock, and rear lights. How can I install a tailgate light bar on my truck??

What kind of light bar? Can you attach pictures? I have a putco and used the trailer harnessbto tie in. Mine came with a y adapter

This will give you a five flat connection that will work for just about any tailgate light bar including ones with reverse.

Wish I knew about that harness before I soldered my light bar wiring to the trailer connector wiring....

I have the Putco Blade, along with the Curt harness. Very happy with it.

How do you get around covering the spare tire hole.

There is enough flex in the light bar that I can move it slightly to access the hole.

How do you get around covering the spare tire hole.

You can neodymium magnets to hold the light bar on, then it's removable and doesn't require drilling mounting holes. This works on DS (Gen4) but not the DT (Gen5) trucks.
