So lately I have been noticing a little hesitation at times when I step on the gas. Sometimes getting the rpms up takes longer than I would like. Only sometimes.

Yesterday I went to start the truck and it turned over and over and over no start. I turned it off and primed again then it started.

Motor is new but pump has 240k miles on I assume its getting near the end.

Question is the replacement. I swear I saw somewhere maybe it was one of the SC manuals that showed the 2500 pump could be changed under the rear seat and removing the carpet and cover. Is this true?

Also should I upgrade to a higher flow pump this time?

Check your fuel filters first, could also have gelled fuel.

Driver side of the engine. Below the brake master cylinder. Screw the top off it and the filter is a cartridge style.

Whoops, sorry thought you said 6.7. The 5.7 doesn’t have a serviceable fuel filter, just a sock on the bottom of the pump. Usually never an isssue.
