Hello dodge fam! This is my first post here and I'm brand new to the community.
I have a 2002 3rd Gen Ram 1500 RWD with a 4.7l and an automatic transmission. But alas at 350000km The engine caved on me.
Anyways I have a fuel injection 5.0 In a 1990 Mercury that I'm going to swap into the truck.
But why not just get another 4.7 you may ask? Cause I'm cheap, and I have the 5.0 already, it's a chance to increase my michanical skill, and I think it would be pretty cool; This is happening, and it's gonna be fun!
This is my plan thus far, take the flex plate from the 5.0 into the local machine shop and get holes drilled for the dodge torque converter. Fabricate a transmission adapter plate and farricate motor mounts in my shop. Then it should only be a matter of fastening the 5.0 ecu to the fire wall and plugging everything in.
Any suggestions?
