6.7% fuel at 500 miles is outrageous. That thing is ****** fuel.

If it were mine, nope. New truck please.

Here was the first round. 400 mile trip.

Trying to catapult your point of contact isn't going to go anywhere. They are basically a call center with a set escalation process they have to go through.

This is the latest oil sample, ran for 500miles on a fresh oil change.... the dealer also over filled my oil so the % is not right for normal oil level to start.View attachment 537027

With just 6.7 fuel in oil did they add a gallon of Lucas oil additive to slow the diesel fuel getting by the rings

Update!

The dealer is just now going to do a Return flow test on my truck. I had a talk with the manager in person and said i think its a little late for that. they really need to evaluate the motor at this point, with all the ******** testing and having me run another 1000 miles on contaminated oil. He did not like what i had to say but with their documented stuff and my documentation it is not looking good.

I bought a Ford Mustang with around 13k miles on it years ago. It had a C-4 transmission that I could feel the slightest flare between 1st and 2nd. I mentioned it to the sales person, and they had their transmission "expert" drive it, proclaiming no problem.

At that time warranties were 12k miles, so I asked about an extended Ford warranty, which I bought cheaply along with the car.

Within 2 months the transmission was slipping badly between 1st and 2nd.

I took the car to the Ford dealer I trusted in another town, and had the transmission rebuilt there for free. Never had a bit of problem after.

If I can't trust an transmission "expert" to notice a small flare between shifts, I'm certainly not going to let him rebuilt it when it lets go.

Its really sad and stupid what they have done to you.... I really don't think they employ a diesel mechanic with a lot of experience, based on what I have heard during Covid the experience workers left, also during that time they sold out to Tonkin. Edit: Sad that I could not use the original owners name as it was censored :(

They have a diesel tech with "20 years" experience. I am guessing 20 years of replacing parts and that is it. In my opinion they started with just replacing parts and started at the end and not the beginning. If I had a customer come in saying I have a **** ton of fuel in my oil I would of started with that.

I agree he must have 20 years as a parts changer nothing else, for me its hard to see a good 20 year diesel mechanic being that stupid to do what they have done to you, but then....

On the other hand, he’s most likely not allowed to use his skills. Corp dictates what they can and can’t do while under warranty.

Correct but can challenge things based on what the actual vehicle is doing. If Corp does not have the right info they won't actually know. I asked the manager why are the replacing parts vs doing a engine condition assessment. He had no clue my motor was making all sorts of noises, never passed that to Corp.

Sounds the service desk is the weak link or the dealership is worse than I envisioned.
